AWP | Queen's Gambit (Battle-Scarred)

AWP | Queen's Gambit (Battle-Scarred)

The AWP | Queen's Gambit (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert sniper skin, the regal blue-and-gold queen design in its most heavily worn grade. It's the lowest entry point into an ornate, high-end AWP — surface damage traded for the smallest possible ticket into ownership.

Design

Built by the community artist Endrit rather than in-house, the Queen's Gambit is custom painted in royal blue and gold, finished with a chess queen hand-rendered in front of the butt stock. It leans into a regal, heraldic style carried by fine ornamentation instead of loud graphics, and it comes with the in-game line: "Every shot is a royal decree of power and precision."

AWP | Queen's Gambit (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly, with heavy scratching and paint loss across the body and the artwork noticeably faded. Because the finish runs the full float range, its worst copies do reach the extreme end of the wear scale — yet even there the queen motif and the blue base stay identifiable. It's the grade for players who want the design and don't mind the scars.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red tier — the topmost of the standard weapon rarity grades. That standing puts the Queen's Gambit among the AWP's, and the game's, most coveted skins, sitting in the most exclusive slot a weapon can take.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Case and Collection

A member of The Dead Hand Collection, the Queen's Gambit is pulled from the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal case. It's the rarest grade in that set as a Covert — the Covert tier figures at roughly 0.64% (shared across the tier's skins) — making it an uncommon unbox, so the supply that reaches players mostly flows through the market.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Patterns

No random pattern applies to the Queen's Gambit — the queen is fixed in place on every copy and the blue-and-gold layout never shifts, so there's no paint seed or blue-gem to hunt. Float and wear alone separate one example from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There has never been a StatTrak Queen's Gambit — StatTrak weapons derive from cases that carry a StatTrak variant, and this finish was never one of them. A Souvenir version was never produced either: Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and neither The Dead Hand Collection nor its case ever served as a Major drop.

AWP | Queen's Gambit Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin, the entry-level route to owning the design — but even at the bottom of the ladder it's still a premium, high-end AWP. If you want the regal queen finish for as little as it ever costs, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred Queen's Gambit still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and faded paint, the queen artwork and its royal blue-and-gold scheme keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear in exchange for the lowest entry price, not losing the ornate look that makes the skin stand out.

How rough does the Battle-Scarred grade get?

Fairly rough. Since the finish covers the full float range, its most worn copies reach the extreme end of the scale, with pronounced scratching and dulled gold across the body. That said, the strong blue base and the hand-painted queen hold together enough that the design stays legible even at its most battered.

Is Battle-Scarred the cheapest way to own a Queen's Gambit?

Yes — it's the lowest rung on the price ladder. That said, "cheapest" is relative for a Covert AWP this ornate; even a battered copy is a serious, high-end purchase. If budget is the deciding factor, this exterior is the most accessible door into ownership.
