AWP | Sun in Leo (Field-Tested)
The AWP | Sun in Leo (Field-Tested) is an Industrial Grade sniper skin with a zodiac hydrographic — a sun and the astrological sign of Leo over a blue body — here in its most commonly traded condition. Field-Tested carries a touch of honest wear on a design that shrugs it off, and it's the most affordable of the higher grades.
Design
At its core the finish is an astrology-themed hydrographic, setting a stylized sun and the Leo star sign against a cool blue base for a calm, celestial feel rather than a loud graphic. Made in-house by Valve instead of pulled from the Workshop, it comes with a cheeky horoscope line: "It's going to be a rough month for your enemies."
AWP | Sun in Leo (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the finish picks up light scratching along the rails and scope, but the deep blue base hides it well, so most copies still read tidy from a normal distance. The sun-and-Leo motif stays legible regardless of float. This is the grade most players picture when they think of the skin — the sweet spot between looks and cost, and an easy budget buy.
AWP | Sun in Leo Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue grade, ranked above Consumer Grade and just beneath Mil-Spec in the standard weapon tiers. It's one of the lower, more common grades, and that commonness is a key reason the finish is so cheap.
AWP | Sun in Leo Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Gods and Monsters Collection, which launched alongside Operation Bloodhound in May 2015. No weapon case sits behind the collection, so the market and trade-up contracts — not fresh drops — are where copies come from, an origin that keeps the pool large and the cost down.
AWP | Sun in Leo Patterns
Pattern variation doesn't factor in here: the zodiac hydrographic is placed the same on each copy, which means there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out. Only wear and float separate one example from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak version doesn't exist — StatTrak weapons stem from cases that carry a StatTrak variant, and this skin was never put into such a case. Nor is there a Souvenir version: because Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and The Gods and Monsters Collection was never a Major souvenir drop, none was ever produced.
AWP | Sun in Leo Price
Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the near-mint grades while keeping nearly the same look, which is a big part of why it's the most traded condition. It's an affordable AWP finish that asks very little of your budget. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Sun in Leo look worn?
Barely. The deep blue base masks scratches well, so a Field-Tested copy reads as tidy to most eyes, with only light wear on the rails and scope under close inspection. The sun-and-Leo motif isn't affected by float, so its celestial detail always comes through at match distance.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade?
For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Minimal Wear but looks almost identical thanks to the wear-hiding base, and it's the most common condition on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier scuffing showing through.
Which gloves go with the Sun in Leo?
Its cool blue base suits a calm, coordinated loadout, so blue or navy gloves work best — a blue pair mirrors the base color, while gray or two-tone wraps keep it low-key. It fits naturally into ocean-toned or celestial-themed setups built around other blue skins.
