AWP | Worm God (Field-Tested)
The AWP | Worm God (Field-Tested) is a Restricted sniper skin with a skull-and-roots design in blue and gold on a light body, giving off an eerie, deity-like sci-fi vibe. Field-Tested is the most common, everyday way to own it, trading a little surface wear for a lower price.
Design
At its core the finish is a twisting skull-and-roots motif in blue and gold laid over a pale body, an otherworldly, faintly mythic design meant to look like high-durability enamel. It began as a Steam Workshop submission from the artist enzYm, and it comes with a fitting line: "There are some roots you don't want to take hold."
AWP | Worm God (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
At Field-Tested the light base starts to show honest wear — some scuffing along the edges and body — but the blue-and-gold root artwork holds up as the standout detail. The finish is capped at 0.45, so it never slides into Battle-Scarred territory, which keeps even this mid grade looking presentable rather than heavily battered.
AWP | Worm God Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier, positioned above Mil-Spec and beneath Classified in the standard weapon grades. It's a mid-high rarity, pulled less often than the common blues yet more readily than the top pink and red tiers.
AWP | Worm God Case and Collection
This finish sits in The Chroma 2 Collection and is unboxed from the Chroma 2 Case, released alongside the April 2015 update. As a group the Restricted tier drops around 15.98% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the Chroma 2 Case is no longer in the active drop pool, the supply is set — the market, not unboxing, is where most copies come from now.
AWP | Worm God Patterns
Because the skull-and-roots artwork sits the same way on every copy, this finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out. What separates one copy from the next is simply wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ AWP | Worm God, which tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer and more expensive drop than the plain skin, and the counter is permanent, following the item through any trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons come solely from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Chroma 2 Case was a standard case, not a Major package.
AWP | Worm God Price
Field-Tested is the value pocket of the range — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping the motif clearly readable. Since the finish already ranks as a budget AWP pick, this grade is about as low-cost an entry as you'll find to a genuinely unusual design. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Worm God look worn?
A little. The pale base shows scuffs more than a dark finish would, so you'll notice light wear on the edges and body at Field-Tested. Still, the blue-and-gold root artwork stays the focal point, and the 0.45 float cap means it never looks truly beaten up the way a full Battle-Scarred skin might.
Is Field-Tested good value on the Worm God?
Yes, for budget-minded buyers. It's the cheaper end of an already affordable finish, and the design still reads clearly despite the added wear. If you want the cleanest look, step up to Minimal Wear or Factory New; if the lowest price matters more, Well-Worn goes lower still.
Which gloves go with the Worm God?
Its blue-and-gold palette on a pale base suits a cool, slightly regal loadout. Blue gloves echo the tendrils, gold or tan wraps pick up the metallic accents, and a clean white-and-blue pair keeps the eerie, otherworldly tone intact without fighting the skull motif for attention.
