G3SG1 | Polar Camo (Factory New)

G3SG1 | Polar Camo (Factory New)

The G3SG1 | Polar Camo (Factory New) is a Consumer Grade autosniper skin finished in a gray arctic camouflage. Factory New is the top grade the finish reaches, showing the cold camo pattern at its sharpest.

Design

Polar Camo dresses the G3SG1 in a gray arctic camo hydrographic, a muted, tactical pattern built for snow-and-ice loadouts. It's a Valve-made finish, and it carries the fitting in-game line "Snow is cold; death is colder."

G3SG1 | Polar Camo (Factory New) Float and Wear

This finish has a float floor of 0.06 and runs up to 0.80, so Factory New copies sit right at that lower limit — technically obtainable, but on the rare side because the float can't drop any further. At this grade the gray camo reads sharpest with no visible scratching. It's the closest to flawless the finish gets.

G3SG1 | Polar Camo Rarity

Rarity: Consumer Grade — the white tier at the base of the standard weapon grades. It's the most common class of skin, which keeps this finish very affordable.

G3SG1 | Polar Camo Case and Collection

The finish belongs to The Train Collection, which debuted in November 2013. It isn't tied to a weapon case; instead, regular copies circulate through the market and collection drops, while Souvenir copies come from Major-tournament packages.

G3SG1 | Polar Camo Patterns

The design is fixed — the gray camo lands the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to chase. Wear and float are the only things that separate one copy from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak version of this finish, as StatTrak is a weapon-case feature and this skin never dropped from a case. A Souvenir version does exist, though: it first appeared in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and returned in later Major souvenir packages, each handed out at a different Major tournament over the years.

G3SG1 | Polar Camo Price

Factory New sits at the top of the finish's price ladder as the cleanest available grade, a step above Minimal Wear. Even so, it stays firmly in budget territory for the G3SG1 lineup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Why is Factory New Polar Camo hard to find?

The finish is float-capped at a floor of 0.06, so copies can't roll below that value. Factory New requires a float under 0.07, leaving only a narrow band where a copy qualifies — which makes genuine Factory New examples less common than the higher-wear grades on the market.

Which gloves match the Polar Camo?

Its cool gray palette suits a snow or winter loadout, so gray, white, or muted blue gloves work best and keep the arctic theme intact. Steer clear of warm oranges and reds, which fight the cold tone. Neutral gray wraps are the safest match for the finish's camo.

Does the pattern vary between copies?

No. Polar Camo uses a fixed design, so the gray arctic camo sits identically on every copy — there's no lucky paint seed or blue-gem variant to hunt. The only differences from one to the next are wear grade and float value, which change surface condition rather than the pattern itself.
