Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner (Field-Tested)
The Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner puts a blue patina finish through a polishing process that leaves a graphic flame design cut across the slide. Field-Tested sits in the middle of the pack for this finish, balancing a still-legible flame pattern against a friendlier price than the cleaner grades above it.
Design
The whole look comes down to one idea: a blue patina polished off in sections to form a flame shape on the slide, credited to community designer PTP. It's a restrained, industrial finish that reads through metal texture and contrast rather than bold color.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
With the finish's float running 0 to 0.8 overall, Field-Tested falls squarely in the middle of that range. The flame pattern is still perfectly readable at this stage, though the patina picks up more visible grain and the polished sections lose a bit of their sharpest edge compared to the cleaner wears.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Rarity
It's a Mil-Spec Grade finish — the common end of the rarity spectrum for anything dropping from the Falchion Case.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Case and Collection
This finish comes from the Falchion Case, part of The Falchion Collection that launched with Operation Bloodhound back in May 2015. Being Mil-Spec, it's one of the most frequent outcomes from that case, landing around four out of every five opens.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Patterns
There's no special high-tier pattern to chase on this one, but that doesn't mean copies are interchangeable — the patina texture shifts with paint seed, so some Field-Tested rolls show a noticeably cleaner burn pattern than others even at similar float values.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak edition exists alongside the regular finish, both drawn from the Falchion Case pool. No Souvenir version has ever been made, since that variant only ever comes from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish was never included in one.
Glock-18 | Bunsen Burner Price
Field-Tested sits comfortably in the middle of this finish's price ladder, cheaper than the top grades but noticeably more than the worn end. It's a solid entry point into the Bunsen Burner's affordable mid-tier pricing. Skin.Land's Glock-18 listings are the place to check current availability.
FAQ
Is Field-Tested a good balance for this skin?
For most buyers, yes. The graphic flame pattern is still clearly visible at this grade, and the added surface texture from the mid-range float is subtle rather than distracting. It's a reasonable middle ground between the sharper, pricier top wears and the noticeably worn bottom end.
When did the Bunsen Burner first release?
It arrived in May 2015 as part of The Falchion Collection, launched alongside the Falchion Case during Operation Bloodhound. That makes it one of the older Mil-Spec finishes still commonly traded on the Glock-18 today.
Does the flame pattern fade as float increases?
The flame shape itself doesn't disappear, but higher float does add more visible surface texture around the polished sections, softening how crisp the design reads. Field-Tested keeps things legible; it's the further-worn grades where the contrast starts to noticeably dull.
