Glock-18 | Sand Dune (Field-Tested)
The Glock-18 | Sand Dune (Field-Tested) is an Industrial Grade pistol skin with a gray finish whose separate parts are spray-painted in solid sand-scheme colors. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it — a touch of honest wear on a design that carries it well, for less than the higher grades.
Design
The look is deliberately plain: a muted gray base with individual components painted in flat, solid tones, a tactical finish that skips graphics entirely. Valve built it, and it comes with a slice of in-game lore — "Gonzo journalist Alex Kincaide disappeared after traveling to The Maghreb to cover Operation Vanguard."
Glock-18 | Sand Dune (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Within the 0.06–0.80 float range, Field-Tested sits in the middle. The finish picks up light scratching along the slide and edges, but the muted color scheme absorbs it fairly well, so most copies still read tidy at a glance. This is the grade most players land on when they want the design without paying for a top-condition surface.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue grade, one of the lower rungs of the standard weapon tiers. It's a common drop, which keeps the finish accessible to just about anyone.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Case and Collection
Field-Tested Sand Dune belongs to The Alpha Collection, which launched with Operation Bravo in September 2013. As an early collection, its stock is now spread across the market, meaning copies are bought from other players rather than unboxed fresh.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Patterns
There's no random pattern variation to speak of — the gray base and solid-color parts land identically on every copy, so there's nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak Sand Dune was never made: StatTrak versions are minted only inside weapon cases, and this finish isn't handed out that way. The same goes for Souvenir — those weapons come exclusively from Major-tournament packages, and The Alpha Collection has never been a Major drop, so no Souvenir edition exists.
Glock-18 | Sand Dune Price
Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than the two top grades while keeping most of the look, which is why it's the most traded condition. Even so, within Glock-18 the finish ranks in high-end, grail-tier territory. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Sand Dune look beat up?
Not really. Expect light scratching on the slide and edges, but the muted gray scheme masks it well enough that a Field-Tested copy still reads tidy at normal distance. It's the grade most players think of, offering the design at a friendlier price than Minimal Wear or Factory New.
Is Field-Tested the best value Sand Dune?
For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than the cleaner grades but keeps the look intact thanks to the wear-hiding palette, and it's the easiest condition to find on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go lower still if you want the cheapest entry.
Which gloves match Sand Dune?
Its gray-and-tan desert tones suit an earthy loadout, so sand, tan, or gray gloves work best — a desert pair leans into the dune theme, while neutral gray wraps keep the understated tactical feel. It fits comfortably into a militaristic or desert-themed set.
