M249 | Predator (Well-Worn)
The M249 | Predator (Well-Worn) is a Consumer Grade M249 finish, its zebra-stripe pattern now carrying real wear. It's a cheaper route into a finish that usually sits pricey, aimed at players who value the look over a flawless surface.
Design
The finish drapes the M249 in stark zebra stripes — a graphic, high-contrast pattern that dominates the whole shell. Valve created it, and it carries no in-game flavor line, leaving the striping as the finish's entire identity.
M249 | Predator (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Well-Worn sits high on the finish's 0.06–0.80 float range. Scuffing and paint thinning become clearly visible across the receiver and edges, though the bold striping keeps the pattern readable through it. For buyers after the lowest reasonable grade, this is where the Predator gets more affordable without losing its punch.
M249 | Predator Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade, the white tier — the base grade sitting at the bottom of the weapon ladder. Common as the grade is, the Predator finish trades well above it, so even worn copies hold value better than most Consumer-grade skins.
M249 | Predator Case and Collection
Part of The Havoc Collection, Predator debuted with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. Since no weapon case carries it, the finish's supply comes from collection drops and player listings — you buy it off the market, not by cracking a case.
M249 | Predator Patterns
No paint-seed lottery applies here — the zebra striping appears the same on every copy, so there's nothing like a rare pattern or blue-gem variant to track down. The only meaningful differences between copies come from wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak variant was ever made — StatTrak is minted through weapon cases, and this finish has no case tied to it. A Souvenir version doesn't exist either, as Souvenir weapons come solely from Major-tournament packages and Predator was never offered in one.
M249 | Predator Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a more affordable way into a finish that runs premium at cleaner grades. For players who want the striping without the top-grade cost, it's a smart entry point. Available on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn Predator look?
Fairly worn. You'll see obvious scuffing and paint loss on the edges and receiver — more than Field-Tested but short of Battle-Scarred's heavy battering. The bold zebra striping keeps the design recognizable, so it still reads clearly as a Predator during a match despite the wear.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Mainly if price is your priority. Field-Tested looks a bit tidier for a modest step up in cost, so many buyers prefer it. Well-Worn earns its place when you want this normally pricey finish as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.
Why does the Predator hold value despite being Consumer grade?
Because its price is driven by supply, not grade. Predator comes from a collection with no case, so copies only enter the market through player drops — a limited flow. That scarcity keeps demand pressing on a thin supply, holding prices up across grades, worn copies included.
