M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire (Field-Tested)
The M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire (Field-Tested) is a Covert rifle skin with a fiery, hand-painted red-and-yellow finish and a smiley face on the stock. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it — a touch of honest wear on artwork that still reads bold, for well under the higher grades.
Design
At its heart the look is fiery and artistic: red and yellow hues woven with Chantico fire motifs into a modern design, all courtesy of Valve. It's hand painted in vibrant colors and accentuated by a smiley face on the stock, and it comes with the in-game line "Protect what is yours."
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Field-Tested lands in the middle of the finish's 0.00–0.99 float range. Here the artwork picks up light scratching along the edges and high-contact areas, but the busy fiery pattern absorbs it well, so most copies still read vivid at a glance. This is the grade most players picture — the sweet spot between looks and price.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Rarity
Rarity: Covert — the red tier, sitting at the very top of the standard weapon grades. It's a genuinely scarce grade to pull from a case.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Chroma 3 Collection and is unboxed from the Chroma 3 Case, which launched with the Trichromacy update on April 27, 2016. The Covert tier drops at roughly 0.64% from the case, a slim rate that keeps unboxing rare, so most copies are picked up on the market rather than pulled from a case.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Patterns
No random pattern roll applies here — the fiery design and stock smiley sit the same way on every copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" worth chasing. The only things that set copies apart are wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You'll also find a StatTrak™ edition, dropping from the Chroma 3 Case, that tacks on a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop than the plain skin, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages, and this finish was never a Major drop.
M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire Price
Field-Tested is the value sweet spot of the range — cheaper than Minimal Wear while holding onto most of the vivid look, which is why it's such a popular way in. It's a premium finish that still won't break the bank. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested copy look worn?
Only mildly. Light scratches appear along the edges and high-contact spots, but the dense fiery artwork disguises them well, so the skin still reads bold and colorful at normal viewing distance. Its signature red-and-yellow flames and the smiley detail stay clearly visible regardless of float.
Is Field-Tested the best value option?
For most buyers, yes. It costs noticeably less than Minimal Wear but keeps nearly the same colorful impact thanks to the busy pattern hiding wear, and it's far more common on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier scuffing.
Which gloves suit this finish?
Its fiery red-and-yellow palette calls for warm-toned gloves — red, orange, or crimson wraps play off the flames, while tan pairs keep the heat theme intact. Coordinate the rest of your loadout around warm colors for a unified fire look.
