M4A1-S | Mecha Industries (Field-Tested)

The M4A1-S | Mecha Industries (Field-Tested) is a Covert rifle skin with a white industrial body, black inserts, and light red mechanical markings in its most common condition. Field-Tested is the popular everyday way to run this futuristic M4, with honest wear on a light base at a friendlier price than the higher grades.

Design

The look centers on bright white armor plating, cut by black inserts on the barrel, magazine, and parts of the receiver and buttstock, with small light red markings styled like tech labels. Angular plates against smooth polymer give it that cyber-industrial, sci-fi identity. It began as a community submission from the artist coyote37, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Featuring all new technology."

M4A1-S | Mecha Industries (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Along the finish's 0.00–0.80 float scale, Field-Tested sits in the middle. Because the base is white, wear shows more readily than it would on a dark skin: expect visible scuffing along the edges, the magazine, and raised plating, with some thinning of the white paint. The black inserts and red markings still anchor the design and keep it clearly readable, which is why this grade remains the go-to balance of looks and price.

M4A1-S | Mecha Industries Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, sitting at the very top of the standard weapon grades. It's the rarest class of skin you can unbox, a step above Classified.

M4A1-S | Mecha Industries Case and Collection

The skin sits in The Gamma Collection and is unboxed from the Gamma Case, released alongside the Gamma Exposure update in June 2016. As a group the Covert tier drops around 0.64% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and because the Gamma Case is no longer in the active drop pool, supply is fixed — the market, not unboxing, is where most copies come from.

M4A1-S | Mecha Industries Patterns

Because the white plating, black inserts, and red markings sit the same way on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Wear and float are all that separate one copy from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You can also find a StatTrak™ version, which brings a confirmed-kill counter along; it's a scarcer, pricier drop from the Gamma Case than the standard skin, and that counter is permanent — it follows the item through every trade or sale. There's no Souvenir variant, because Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and the Gamma Case has never featured as a Major drop.

M4A1-S | Mecha Industries Price

Field-Tested is the value heart of the range — cheaper than Minimal Wear while keeping the design instantly recognizable, which is a big part of why it's such a widely owned M4. It's a premium finish that still won't break the bank. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested version look worn?

Somewhat — more than on a dark skin. The white base lets edge scuffing and paint thinning on the magazine and raised plating show at a glance. It's still a long way from beaten up, though, and the black inserts and red markings keep the mecha design fully legible in-game.

Is Field-Tested the best value Mecha Industries?

For many buyers, yes. It costs clearly less than Minimal Wear while keeping the signature white-and-red styling intact, and it's the most common grade on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper again if you want the lowest entry price and don't mind heavier wear on the light plating.

Which gloves suit this M4?

Its white-black-and-red palette works with a bright, high-tech loadout. Light gray or white gloves keep the futuristic feel, red-accented wraps pull out the mechanical markings, and black gloves emphasize the darker inserts for a bolder contrast.
