M4A4 | Cyber Security (Well-Worn)

M4A4 | Cyber Security (Well-Worn)

The M4A4 | Cyber Security (Well-Worn) is a Classified rifle skin with diagonal blue, red, and gold bands over a black, tech-themed base, shown in a more battle-worn state. It's a cheaper route into the cyber design, with wear the bold banding still shrugs off reasonably well.

Design

At its core the finish is a black frame overlaid with diagonal bands of blue, red, and gold — a minimalist, security-flavored digital look that trades detailed art for strong geometry. Designed by the community artist Conne, it comes with a cheeky in-game line: "AVAILABLE NOW AT YOUR LOCAL CYBERNETICS RETAILER."

M4A4 | Cyber Security (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

At Well-Worn the finish shows clear scuffing and paint loss across the magazine, receiver, and edges, where the black base starts to show through the bands. The blue, red, and gold still anchor the design and keep it identifiable, but there's no hiding that this is a worn grade. For players who care more about price than a flawless surface, it delivers the recognizable cyber look for less.

M4A4 | Cyber Security Rarity

Rarity: Classified, the pink tier. It sits directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades, and it's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox.

M4A4 | Cyber Security Case and Collection

The skin sits in The Operation Broken Fang Collection and drops from the Operation Broken Fang Case that released with Operation Broken Fang on December 3, 2020. As a group the Classified tier unboxes around 3.2% of the time (that figure is shared across the tier's skins), and with the case increasingly scarce in the drop pool, supply leans on the market — most copies are bought rather than unboxed.

M4A4 | Cyber Security Patterns

The finish has no random pattern roll: the blue, red, and gold bands are placed the same on each copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to seek out. The only things that set copies apart are wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ edition does exist and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, pricier drop from the Operation Broken Fang Case, and the counter is permanent, carrying over whenever the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages, and this finish's case was never issued as a Major drop.

M4A4 | Cyber Security Price

Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the price ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget way into the design for players who won't pay the mid-grade premium. It's one of the cheaper routes to a genuine copy of this M4A4. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Well-Worn version look?

Noticeably. Expect visible scratches and paint thinning on the magazine and around the edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering of Battle-Scarred. The blue, red, and gold bands keep it identifiable, so it still reads clearly as the cyber design in-game despite the added wear.

Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?

Only if price is your top priority. Field-Tested looks a good deal better for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want this M4A4 design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way down to Battle-Scarred.

Does the design vary between copies?

No. The band layout is fixed with no random seed, so every Well-Worn copy shows the same blue, red, and gold arrangement. Individual copies differ only in float value and whether they carry a StatTrak counter.
