The M4A4 | Magnesium (Well-Worn, WW) is a Mil-Spec rifle skin with white flames and a winged defuser on a dark gray body, here in a more battle-worn state. It's a rock-bottom route into the design, with wear the dark base still partly disguises.
Design
The look sets white flames and a winged defuser over a dark gray base, hand painted for a high-contrast, monochrome effect. Designed by the community artist EGO DEATH, it ships with a fitting in-game line: "For those who live fast."
M4A4 | Magnesium (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
At Well-Worn the finish shows clear scuffing and paint loss across the magazine, receiver, and edges, where the gray thins and the base metal peeks through. The white flame graphic stays the anchor that keeps it recognizable, but there's no hiding that this is a worn grade — the trade-off for players who care more about the price of entry than a tidy surface.
M4A4 | Magnesium Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier. It sits at the bottom of the grades that appear in weapon cases, and as the most common band to unbox it keeps skins like this one both plentiful and inexpensive.
M4A4 | Magnesium Case and Collection
Magnesium sits in The Danger Zone Collection and comes from the Danger Zone Case, which released with the Danger Zone update on December 6, 2018. The Mil-Spec tier as a whole unboxes about 79.92% of the time (that figure is shared across the tier's skins), so it's a frequent pull — and because so many exist, buyers pick up most copies on the market rather than from unboxing.
M4A4 | Magnesium Patterns
Magnesium has no random pattern roll — the flames and winged defuser are placed the same on every copy, which means there's no paint seed or "blue gem" worth chasing. Wear and float are all that set one copy apart from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ M4A4 | Magnesium does exist and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer and costlier drop than the plain skin, and that counter is permanent — it carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. A Souvenir version was never produced, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and the Danger Zone Case has never been a Major drop.

FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn Magnesium look?
Noticeably. Expect visible scratches and paint thinning across the magazine and edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering of Battle-Scarred. The gray base and white flame artwork keep it recognizable, so it still reads clearly as a Magnesium in-game despite the visible wear.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Mainly if squeezing out the last bit of savings matters to you. Field-Tested looks a fair bit better for only a small step up in cost, so most buyers land there. Well-Worn makes sense when you want this design as cheaply as possible without going all the way down to Battle-Scarred.
Does the wear ruin the gray finish?
Not entirely. The paint thins and scuffs at Well-Worn, dulling the dark base in patches, but the white flames and winged defuser keep the design legible. You lose some of the crisp contrast of the higher grades, not the overall look of the skin.
