M4A4 | In Living Color (Battle-Scarred)

The M4A4 | In Living Color (Battle-Scarred) is a Covert rifle skin showing its neon graffiti big-cat design at its most heavily worn. It's the cheapest way into the finish, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price on a Covert.

Design

Think street art on a rifle: a neon-soaked big cat sketched in loose, hand-drawn lines, all vivid color and playful energy. Community artist kadzor is behind the finish, a designer with a clear talent for striking, colorful work, and it carries the in-game line: "Fight for one, fight for all."

M4A4 | In Living Color (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

At Battle-Scarred the finish wears its damage openly, with heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body and the neon coat rubbed thin in places. Because the float is capped at 0.79, though, copies never reach the extreme end of the scale, and the loud, multicolored artwork keeps the skin readable even at its roughest. It's the grade for players chasing the design at the lowest possible cost.

M4A4 | In Living Color Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red-tier grade. It ranks at the top of the standard weapon classes, making it the rarest ordinary skin type to come out of a case.

M4A4 | In Living Color Case and Collection

The Snakebite Case, launched with the conclusion of the Broken Fang update in May 2021, is where this Snakebite Collection finish drops. Covert is the rarest grade the case offers, landing roughly 0.64% of the time (a rate shared across the tier), so the majority of copies are sourced on the market rather than pulled from keys.

M4A4 | In Living Color Patterns

No paint seed applies here — the hand-drawn graphic is placed identically on all copies, which rules out any blue-gem or rare-pattern chase. What varies between copies is simply wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

The skin also comes in a StatTrak™ form that counts your confirmed kills; it's a harder-to-get, costlier drop from the Snakebite Case, and that counter is permanent, staying with the item whenever it changes hands. No Souvenir edition exists, as Souvenir weapons originate only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, not from cases like this one.

M4A4 | In Living Color Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run a Covert M4A4 for players who value the look over the condition. With In Living Color already sitting at an affordable mid-tier price, this is about as low as the cost of ownership goes. Pick it up on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred In Living Color still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing, the neon palette and hand-drawn big-cat artwork keep the design clearly readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the look — the finish is loud enough to shine through the damage.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred version look completely destroyed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.79 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear. Combined with dense, saturated artwork that draws the eye away from the scratches, In Living Color stays more legible at this grade than many plainer skins manage.

Do any gloves fit the Battle-Scarred version?

The same colorful pairings work regardless of wear. Bright, multicolored gloves like the Sport Gloves | Vice or Moto Gloves | POW! match the neon artwork, and warmer picks such as a Specialist Gloves | Fade sit comfortably alongside it. Even at this grade the design stays loud, so keep the gloves loud too.
