The MAC-10 | Case Hardened (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted SMG finish with a steel, blue, and gold marbled patina from a simulated case-hardening process, here in its roughest available state. It's the cheapest entry point into this finish for buyers focused on price over polish.
Design
Rather than a painted design, the coloring comes from case-hardening the metal with wood charcoal at high heat, leaving a swirl of blue, gold, and gunmetal that's different on every copy. It's a Valve-made finish carrying the flavor text "A little color never hurt anyone."
MAC-10 | Case Hardened (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Float runs the complete 0.00 to 1.00 range for this finish, and Battle-Scarred occupies the top end of it — the heaviest wear the skin reaches.
