MAC-10 | Derailment (Factory New)

The MAC-10 | Derailment (Factory New) is a Restricted SMG skin custom-painted with an exploding train car. Factory New shows that scene at its sharpest, right before any wear touches the surface.

Design

The centerpiece is a dramatic graphic of an exploding train car spread across the weapon's body, a scene-driven design rather than a simple texture. It's a Valve-made finish, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Your attention please..."

MAC-10 | Derailment (Factory New) Float and Wear

Derailment runs across a 0.00–0.70 float range, and Factory New sits at the very bottom of it. At this grade the train-car scene reads with full clarity and the metal around it shows essentially no marks. Since the finish is capped well under the maximum possible float, even its worst copies fall short of a fully trashed look, but Factory New is where the artwork is at its most complete.

MAC-10 | Derailment Rarity

Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier — one step below Classified and a genuinely uncommon grade among weapon finishes.

MAC-10 | Derailment Case and Collection

This finish belongs to The Train 2025 Collection, which debuted with the Spring Forward update in March 2025. It isn't tied to a weapon case, so copies typically reach players through trade-up contracts or the market rather than a direct unbox. Across collection drops, the Restricted tier as a group turns up in about 15.98% of pulls, a rate shared across every skin at that grade.

MAC-10 | Derailment Patterns

The train-car scene is fixed in place on every copy — the paint-seed index has no effect on how it looks. There's no pattern variant or "blue gem" seed to chase here; float and wear are the only things separating one Derailment from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak version of the Derailment, but a Souvenir copy does exist. The first Souvenir run came out of the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package, with later Major-tournament souvenir packages following it; the regular finish reviewed here is separate from those Souvenir drops.

MAC-10 | Derailment Price

Factory New sits at the top of the Derailment's price ladder, the priciest and cleanest grade available for buyers who want the train-car artwork in its best possible state. It's a premium pick within the MAC-10 lineup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

When was the MAC-10 | Derailment released?

The Derailment launched with the Spring Forward update in March 2025 as part of The Train 2025 Collection. It doesn't drop from a weapon case, so most copies are obtained through trade-up contracts or bought directly on the market.

What are the best gloves for the MAC-10 | Derailment?

The scorched, industrial train-wreck scene pairs naturally with darker, rugged gloves — black or gray leather-style wraps keep the loadout cohesive without fighting the artwork. That's the best MAC-10 Derailment glove combo for a grounded, hard-worn look.

Is there a Souvenir MAC-10 | Derailment?

Yes. A Souvenir version exists, first handed out in the Austin 2025 Train Souvenir Package, with additional Major-tournament packages issuing it later. There's no StatTrak edition, so the regular and Souvenir finishes are the only two versions in circulation.
