MAC-10 | Surfwood (Battle-Scarred)
The MAC-10 | Surfwood in Battle-Scarred condition is the most affordable way to own this Consumer Grade pale green and cream finish. It's also the roughest-looking grade the skin comes in, though never as extreme as a full-range weapon skin.
Design
Surfwood's identity comes from its soft, spray-painted pale green and cream pattern, a Valve-made finish from The St. Marc Collection paired with the flavor text "Mint condition."
MAC-10 | Surfwood (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Because the float range on this finish caps at 0.50 instead of 1.00, Battle-Scarred here is milder than Battle-Scarred on a full-range skin. Even so, this is the heaviest visible wear the Surfwood shows, with the pale tones noticeably faded and scuffed across the surface.
MAC-10 | Surfwood Rarity
The finish carries a Consumer Grade rarity, the lowest standard weapon tier, which is why it's priced so low across every wear.
MAC-10 | Surfwood Case and Collection
This finish is part of The St. Marc Collection, tied to Operation Shattered Web from November 2019, and was never packaged into a weapon case. Supply comes purely from the collection pool rather than any unboxing mechanic.
MAC-10 | Surfwood Patterns
Every copy of this finish carries the same fixed pale green and cream artwork — there's no seed to chase and no rare "blue gem" variant. Only the wear grade separates one Battle-Scarred copy from another at this point.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish was never given a StatTrak release, so there's no version with a kill counter at any condition. It also has no Souvenir edition, since Souvenir copies only ever come from Major-tournament packages and Surfwood has never been part of one.
MAC-10 | Surfwood Price
Battle-Scarred sits at the bottom of the price ladder for this finish, the cheapest way in for anyone who just wants the pale green and cream look without paying for a cleaner grade. Given the finish's affordable mid-tier pricing overall, this is about as low-cost as it gets. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Battle-Scarred really that rough on the Surfwood?
It's the roughest grade available, but since the float cap sits at 0.50 rather than 1.00, it doesn't reach the extreme wear of a full-range skin. Expect noticeable fading and scuffing, but not the worst-case scenario.
Why is Battle-Scarred the cheapest grade?
Lower wear grades typically cost more because a cleaner look is prized, and Battle-Scarred sits at the opposite end of that scale. Combined with the finish's already affordable price tier, it makes this the most budget-friendly way to grab the Surfwood.
Should I buy Battle-Scarred or save up for a cleaner grade?
If price is the priority, Battle-Scarred gets you the same pale green and cream artwork for the least money. If a sharper, less faded look matters more, moving up to Field-Tested or higher is worth it given how affordable the whole finish already is.
