MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum (Field-Tested)

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum (Field-Tested)

The MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum (Field-Tested) is a Restricted shotgun skin with an iridescent bismuth-crystal look in cyan and pink. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it, adding honest wear at a mid-range price.

Design

The finish is the work of community designers Cimota and MultiH, who painted the shotgun to imitate iridescent bismuth crystals — a synthetic-feeling spread of cyan and pink built on a spectrum motif. It comes with the line, "Why are the rarest things the most beautiful?"

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Field-Tested runs a float of 0.15 to 0.38. Wear becomes clearly visible now, with scratches breaking up the surface across the body and grip, though the cyan-and-pink color shift still carries the look. It's the grade most copies land on, and the sweet spot between price and presence for many buyers.

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum Rarity

Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier of the standard weapon grades, one level below Classified. Pulling one from the case is uncommon, well rarer than the blue Mil-Spec drops.

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum Case and Collection

The finish sits in The Operation Riptide Collection and drops from the Operation Riptide Case, released with the Operation Riptide update in September 2021. The Restricted tier unboxes at roughly sixteen percent from the case (shared among the tier's skins), and the case still feeds new copies into circulation.

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum Patterns

There's no pattern lottery on this finish. The bismuth-crystal artwork prints the same on every unit, so the paint seed is irrelevant and no blue-gem copy exists to hunt. Two examples differ only by their wear and float values.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ variant is available, minted by the Operation Riptide Case; it logs confirmed kills on a counter that never gets wiped and stays attached through trades and sales. There is no Souvenir version, because Souvenir weapons only appear in Major-tournament packages and this finish was never distributed that way.

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum Price

Field-Tested is the value anchor of the range — cheaper than the two top grades while keeping the finish clearly recognizable, which makes it the easiest entry into this premium MAG-7. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested BI83 Spectrum look worn?

Some, yes. Field-Tested shows visible scratching across the body, and the iridescent surface loses a little of its Factory New brilliance. That said, the bold cyan-and-pink shift stays legible from any normal viewing distance, so the skin still reads as vibrant in-game despite the added wear.

Is Field-Tested the cheapest way into this finish?

Not quite the cheapest, but the best balance. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost less, yet they show heavier scuffing that dulls the shimmer. Field-Tested keeps the spectral color obvious while sitting well below Minimal Wear, which is why it's the most-traded grade of the finish.

Is this a rifle skin?

No — the BI83 Spectrum is a MAG-7 finish, so it lives on the automatic shotgun rather than a rifle. The MAG-7 is a close-range, eco-round favorite, and skinning it is cheap, which makes an eye-catching finish like this a popular, low-cost way to dress up a secondary buy.
