The MAG-7 | Carbon Fiber (Minimal Wear) is an Industrial Grade shotgun skin with a black carbon-fiber weave over a graphite base. Minimal Wear is the most worn grade this finish reaches, and it's still a near-black, understated look.

Design

Valve built this finish around restraint: a black carbon-fiber hydrographic laid over a graphite base coat, producing a sleek, modern shotgun with no decals and nothing loud about it. Its in-game line reads, "Just because I carried my team doesn't mean it wasn't a team effort - Rona Sabri, Rising Star."

MAG-7 | Carbon Fiber (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

Minimal Wear spans a float of 0.07 to 0.12. Because the finish is capped at 0.12, this is the worst grade it comes in — there's no Field-Tested or below — so even the most worn copies stay milder than a typical low-grade skin. A little edge wear may show, but the dark carbon base swallows it, keeping the shotgun looking near-black.

Rarity: Industrial Grade, the light-blue tier. It sits just above Consumer and below Mil-Spec among the standard weapon grades, making it one of the more common finishes to pull.

A StatTrak edition was never produced, because StatTrak is minted through cases and this finish never shipped in one. There's also no Souvenir form — Souvenir weapons are distributed solely in Major-tournament packages, and the Carbon Fiber never featured in a Major, so only the regular finish is available.

Why is there no Field-Tested Carbon Fiber?

The finish is float-capped at 0.12, and the game never rolls a copy above that. Field-Tested needs a float of at least 0.15, so it can't exist here — Minimal Wear is the most worn grade the skin reaches, and even it stays visually mild thanks to the low cap.

Does the Minimal Wear look worn?

Hardly at all. The float cap keeps wear low to begin with, and the black carbon-fiber base masks scratches so effectively that a Minimal Wear copy reads as near-black and tidy. Most players can't tell it apart from Factory New in-game, which is what makes it the value pick of the two grades.
