MAG-7 | Sand Dune (Factory New)
The MAG-7 | Sand Dune (Factory New) is a Consumer Grade shotgun skin, its individual panels sprayed in solid, desert-toned colors. Factory New is the cleanest grade the finish comes in, showing the flat tan-and-gray scheme with no surface wear at all.
Design
Sand Dune keeps things stripped back: separate parts of the MAG-7 are painted solid colors in a sand dune scheme — muted tans and grays that read like plain desert camouflage. It's a Valve-made finish, and it ships with an in-game line pulled from the Inferno storyline: "With Turner dead, we have a new priority: rescue Alex Kincaide."
MAG-7 | Sand Dune (Factory New) Float and Wear
Sand Dune runs a float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Factory New sits right at the low end, where the solid desert colors look even and unbroken across the receiver and body, with no scratching to speak of. Since the paint is already matte and understated, this grade is for players who want the coat perfectly uniform.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade — the entry white/gray tier at the very bottom of the standard weapon grades. It's the most common class of skin in the game and the cheapest way onto the MAG-7.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Case and Collection
Sand Dune belongs to The Inferno Collection, introduced with the Arms Deal update in August 2013. The regular version isn't unboxed from a case — it comes through the collection's drop pool and trade-up contracts, which is typical for the low Consumer tier.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Patterns
The finish is fixed, so the paint-seed index does nothing to change how it looks — every copy carries the sandy scheme exactly the same way. There's no "best pattern" or blue-gem seed to chase; wear and float are the only things separating one from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak version — a StatTrak counter is minted only inside weapon cases, and this finish has no case behind it. It does exist as both a regular and a Souvenir finish: Souvenir copies were handed out in Major-tournament souvenir packages, starting with the ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno package and continuing through later Major packages.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Price
As a Consumer Grade finish, Sand Dune sits in the affordable mid-tier band among MAG-7 skins, and Factory New is the priciest grade on its short ladder — still a low-cost pickup overall. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New worth it on Sand Dune?
Only if you want the paint flawless. The desert scheme is matte and low-contrast, so a Minimal Wear copy looks almost the same for less money. Factory New makes sense if you like your skins pristine on principle, but the savings a grade down are hard to argue with here.
What color gloves match Sand Dune?
Its muted tan-and-gray desert palette pairs cleanly with earth-toned gloves — tan, sand, or brown wraps sit right at home, and neutral gray gloves keep the understated military look intact. Steer away from bright colors; the whole appeal of this finish is the low-key desert vibe, so let the gloves echo it.
Does Sand Dune have a Souvenir version?
Yes. Alongside the regular finish, Souvenir copies exist from Major-tournament souvenir packages — first the ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno package, then several later Majors. Souvenir versions carry gold nameplate stickers and are generally scarcer than the standard drop.
