MAG-7 | Sand Dune (Well-Worn)
The MAG-7 | Sand Dune (Well-Worn) is a Consumer Grade shotgun finish in desert tans and grays, here in a genuinely worn state. It's a bargain-basement way into the plain military look, trading surface condition for one of the lowest prices on the ladder.
Design
Design-wise it's minimalism itself: solid spray-painted panels in a sand dune color scheme, muted tan and gray desert tones with no graphics laid over them. Valve built the finish, and it carries a line tied to the Inferno storyline: "With Turner dead, we have a new priority: rescue Alex Kincaide."
MAG-7 | Sand Dune (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Within the 0.06 to 0.80 range, Well-Worn sits near the top of the scale. Scuffing and paint loss spread across the body, pump, and edges, with the desert coat visibly thinned. The flat palette still keeps it readable, but there's no pretending this is a fresh finish — it wears its mileage openly.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade, the white/gray class at the base of the weapon grades. Being the most common tier in the game is exactly why this MAG-7 finish stays so cheap to own.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Case and Collection
Part of The Inferno Collection, which debuted with the Arms Deal update in August 2013, Sand Dune isn't a case drop. The regular finish reaches players via the collection's drop pool and trade-up contracts — the standard supply route for Consumer-tier skins.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Patterns
Every Sand Dune shares the same fixed artwork, so the paint seed makes no visual difference at all. There's no seed lottery here — no fades, no blue gems, no rare placements to track. Wear and float are the sole variables that tell one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak edition doesn't exist for this skin: kill-counter versions are minted only inside weapon cases, and Sand Dune comes out of a collection. It does, however, have a Souvenir counterpart to the regular finish, produced in Major-tournament souvenir packages from the ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno package onward through later Majors.
MAG-7 | Sand Dune Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of an already inexpensive finish, cheaper than the mid grades and beaten only by Battle-Scarred — a rock-bottom entry to the desert look. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does Well-Worn Sand Dune look?
Noticeably. Expect visible scuffing and thinned paint across the body, pump, and edges — heavier than Field-Tested but short of Battle-Scarred's full beating. The muted desert palette keeps the design recognizable, so it still reads as Sand Dune in-game despite the mileage.
Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?
Only if you're squeezing the price as low as possible. Field-Tested looks a good deal tidier for a small step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense purely when you want the finish for the least money without dropping to Battle-Scarred.
Does the paint seed matter on Sand Dune?
No. Sand Dune uses a fixed design, meaning the seed index has no bearing on how the finish looks — every copy is identical in layout. There's no rare pattern to hunt, so when you shop, focus only on wear, float, and price rather than the seed number.
