The MAG-7 | Metallic DDPAT (Minimal Wear) is an Industrial Grade shotgun skin with an urban digital-camo pattern laid over a metallic base. Minimal Wear is the more worn of its two grades, though a tight float cap keeps it looking almost as tidy as Factory New.

Design

The finish combines an urban Digital Disruptive Pattern (DDPAT) hydrographic with a metallic base coat, wrapping the MAG-7 in gray military camo that catches a faint sheen. Valve created it, and it belongs to the early wave of Counter-Strike shotgun finishes.

With the finish capped to a 0.00–0.08 float range, Minimal Wear is the top-worn grade it can reach — and that's still barely worn at all. Belonging to The Train Collection, released with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update in November 2013, this shotgun's regular version is obtained through collection drops and trade-ups rather than from a weapon case — the usual route for finishes tied to an older map collection.

The camo motif is fixed, not random — the DDPAT hydrographic prints identically on every copy, so there's no seed to gamble on and no "blue gem" variant to seek out. What tells copies apart is simply their wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

Both a regular and a Souvenir version of this finish exist. A StatTrak edition doesn't, since StatTrak is minted through weapon cases and this skin was never a case drop. The Souvenir copies debuted in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and have appeared in later Major souvenir packages since.

How does Minimal Wear compare to Factory New here?

They look nearly identical. The finish's 0.08 float cap means even Minimal Wear shows only trace wear, and the busy urban camo hides what little there is. Since both grades are inexpensive, the choice usually comes down to whether you want the absolute best float or want to save a small amount.

Does Minimal Wear look worn at all?

Barely. Minimal Wear is the most worn grade the skin can reach, but because the float is capped at 0.08, that amounts to very light scuffing that's tough to spot against the camo pattern. In practice it reads as near-clean, closer to a Factory New than a typical mid-wear finish.

Why does a Souvenir version exist but no StatTrak?
