The MAG-7 | Praetorian (Well-Worn) is a Restricted shotgun skin with metallic, armored paintwork, here in a more weathered state. It's a lower-cost route into the finish, with heavier wear that mutes the metallic shine.

Design

At its core the finish is painted with metallics, wrapping the MAG-7 in a polished, battle-armor sheen rather than a flat graphic — bold and intense in character. The design comes from community artist coyote37, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "The spire is forming."

MAG-7 | Praetorian (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

This finish is float-capped at 0.45, so Well-Worn is the most weathered grade it reaches — it never hits the extreme scuffing a full-1.0 skin shows at Battle-Scarred. Even so, expect clear scratching and paint loss across the body, dulling much of the metallic shine, though the armored shape and detailing stay recognizable throughout.

Rarity: Restricted, the pink grade. It sits a few steps beneath Covert on the standard weapon ladder — an uncommon tier to unbox, though short of the rarest grades.

MAG-7 | Praetorian Case and Collection

The Praetorian sits in The Wildfire Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Wildfire Case that arrived with Operation Wildfire back in February 2016. As a group the Restricted tier drops around 16% of the time from the case (the odds are shared across the tier's skins), and with the case out of the active drop pool, supply is capped — buyers pick up most copies on the market.

Because the metallic paintwork is placed the same way on every copy, the finish has no random pattern variation — nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to search for. Wear and float are all that set one copy apart from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's also a StatTrak edition of this finish, minted via the Operation Wildfire Case, which brings a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, costlier drop than the standard shotgun, and that counter is permanent — it never gets wiped through any trade or sale. A Souvenir version was never produced, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and this finish never featured in one.
