MAG-7 | Prism Terrace (Field-Tested)
The MAG-7 | Prism Terrace (Field-Tested) is a Restricted shotgun skin with a pearlescent, optical-illusion pattern. Field-Tested is the most affordable and most worn grade the finish offers, with a touch of honest wear over the shifting surface.
Design
Built on a pearlescent optical illusion, the finish makes the MAG-7's surface seem to move and fold in on itself, blurring where each shape begins and ends. It's a Valve-made design, and it comes with a fitting in-game line: "Where does it start and where does it end? Does it end?"
MAG-7 | Prism Terrace (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
The finish is float-capped at 0.37, so Field-Tested is the most worn grade it ever reaches — the pattern never appears in Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred at all. Field-Tested copies fill the upper part of the 0.00–0.37 band, showing visible edge scratching that slightly breaks up the illusion, though the optical effect still comes through clearly.
MAG-7 | Prism Terrace Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the pink tier, positioned a couple of grades under Covert on the standard weapon scale. It's an uncommon quality, and the finish's popularity keeps even this grade priced well above most MAG-7 skins.
MAG-7 | Prism Terrace Case and Collection
This finish is part of The 2021 Vertigo Collection, which launched alongside Operation Riptide in September 2021. It has no weapon case; regular copies enter circulation via collection drops and trade-ups, a limited supply route that keeps the finish high on the MAG-7 price ladder.
MAG-7 | Prism Terrace Patterns
No paint seed matters here — the optical-illusion artwork is a fixed design that lands identically on every copy, so there's no "blue gem" or lucky pattern to hunt. The only meaningful differences between copies come down to the wear grade and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak version of this finish, because StatTrak copies are produced through weapon cases and it has never been offered in one. It does come as a Souvenir edition, however — Souvenir weapons are minted in Major-tournament packages, debuting in the Stockholm 2021 Vertigo Souvenir Package and returning in later Major packages.
MAG-7 | Prism Terrace Price
Field-Tested is the most accessible way onto the Prism Terrace ladder — cheaper than the higher grades, though the float cap means there's nothing below it. Even here it stays a high-end MAG-7 finish rather than a budget one. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why is there no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred Prism Terrace?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.37, and the game never rolls a copy above that. Well-Worn starts at 0.38 and Battle-Scarred higher still, so neither grade can exist here — Field-Tested is the most worn condition the pattern ever reaches.
Does the Field-Tested version still look good?
Yes. There's visible edge scratching that slightly interrupts the pearlescent surface, but the optical-illusion effect still comes through clearly in-game. Since the finish caps at Field-Tested, this is as worn as it gets — and it stays far more legible than a full-range skin would at the same float.
Is Field-Tested the cheapest way into the finish?
Yes, since the float cap means there's no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred grade beneath it. Field-Tested is the lowest-priced version of a finish that runs high across the board, so it's the most accessible entry point — but expect it to still cost more than an average MAG-7 skin.
