MP5-SD | Nitro (Factory New)
The MP5-SD | Nitro (Factory New) is an Industrial Grade SMG skin with individual parts sprayed black and tangerine orange. Factory New shows off that racing-inspired contrast at its boldest, right at the top of the finish's tight float range.
Design
Nitro splits the MP5-SD's body between deep black and vivid tangerine orange sections, giving it a fast, motorsport-flavored look rather than a tactical one. Valve designed it, and the finish carries an in-game line credited to Felix Riley, Commanding Officer, about a character named Rona.
MP5-SD | Nitro (Factory New) Float and Wear
Float on this finish runs from 0.06 up to 0.80, so Factory New sits right at the low end where it's still achievable, keeping the black-and-orange split crisp and the color separation clean. It's the sharpest this racing look ever gets.
MP5-SD | Nitro Rarity
Nitro carries an Industrial Grade rating, one of the more common rarity tiers in CS2. It's an accessible pull rather than a scarce one.
MP5-SD | Nitro Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Control Collection, released with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. There's no weapon case tied to it, so copies come through the collection or trade-ups rather than any unboxing.
MP5-SD | Nitro Patterns
The black-and-orange split is fixed on every copy — there's no paint-seed roll and no "blue gem" version to chase down with this finish. Wear and float are the only things that change how a given copy looks.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Nitro only exists as a regular finish, with no StatTrak kill counter and no Souvenir version. Souvenir status is reserved for finishes handed out in Major-tournament packages, and Nitro has never been part of one.
MP5-SD | Nitro Price
Factory New sits at the top of the Nitro price ladder, and with the finish carrying a premium tier overall, this is the priciest grade the skin comes in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Factory New Nitro worth the premium price?
If you want the black-and-orange split at its most vivid, yes — Factory New keeps that racing contrast at its sharpest. Buyers who don't mind slightly softer color separation can save by stepping down to Minimal Wear or Field-Tested.
Why is the float minimum 0.06 instead of 0.00?
The finish simply doesn't roll copies below that number, so 0.06 is as low as a Nitro's float ever gets. It still falls under the Factory New threshold, so the top grade is available — just without the absolute lowest floats some other skins reach.
Is there a StatTrak Nitro?
No. This finish was only ever released as a standard skin, with no StatTrak counter version and no Souvenir copy in circulation, so every listing on the market is the same regular finish.
