MP7 | Prey (Field-Tested)
The MP7 | Prey (Field-Tested, FT) wears the same rust-colored zebra-stripe pattern at the wear grade most players end up owning. It shows some honest use without losing the pattern's readability.
Design
Rust-colored zebra stripes spray across a gray, tactical-styled base to give Prey its animal-print look, leaning on function over flash. Valve is behind the design, which comes with the in-game line: "Eat, sleep, hunt, repeat."
MP7 | Prey (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Prey's float spans 0.00 to 0.48, and Field-Tested falls roughly in the middle of that range. Expect light scuffing and some fading of the rust tone here, though the zebra-stripe layout remains easy to make out at a glance.
MP7 | Prey Rarity
Rarity-wise it's Consumer Grade, the white tier and the most common rarity a weapon skin can be assigned.
MP7 | Prey Case and Collection
Prey belongs to The 2021 Dust 2 Collection, which debuted with Operation Riptide in September 2021. No weapon case carries it, so it's obtained via collection drops or trade-up contracts.
MP7 | Prey Patterns
Because the zebra-stripe layout is fixed across every copy, there's no paint seed or blue-gem hunt to be had with Prey. Wear and float remain the only real differentiators between copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the MP7 | Prey has ever existed. A Souvenir copy is available, first issued in the Stockholm 2021 Dust II Souvenir Package with more added through later Major-tournament packages, in addition to the regular finish described here.

Does Field-Tested show a lot of wear on the Prey?
Some, but nothing drastic — expect light scuffing and slightly muted rust tones rather than heavy damage. The zebra-stripe layout stays clearly readable in-game, which is why Field-Tested is the grade most owners of this finish end up with.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade?
For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Minimal Wear and Factory New while the pattern still holds up visually, and it's typically more available on the market. Well-Worn (WW) and Battle-Scarred (BS) go even cheaper if price matters more than looks.
Why is the MP7 | Prey so cheap overall?
It's a Consumer Grade finish, the most common rarity tier in the game, and it has no StatTrak version to drive up demand. That combination keeps every wear of Prey, including Field-Tested, firmly in budget territory.
