Nova | Candy Apple (Factory New)

Nova | Candy Apple (Factory New)

The Nova | Candy Apple (Factory New) is an Industrial Grade shotgun skin that wraps the Nova in a glossy red-and-black paint job. Factory New is the top grade, showing the candy-red coat at its most saturated and even.

Design

Candy Apple keeps things simple and loud: individual parts of the shotgun are spray-painted in solid colors on a red-and-black scheme, giving it that lacquered, automotive-showroom look. It's a Valve-made finish, and it ships with the fitting in-game line "Great on cars, better on weapons."

Nova | Candy Apple (Factory New) Float and Wear

The float range runs 0.00–0.30, and Factory New sits at the very bottom of that band. At this grade the red lacquer reads deep and uniform with no scuffing on the panels or edges. Because the finish is capped at 0.30, the coat never gets truly beaten up even at its roughest — Factory New simply gives you the most polished version of it.

Nova | Candy Apple Rarity

Rarity: Industrial Grade — the light-blue tier, sitting near the bottom of the standard weapon grades. It's a common, easy-to-obtain class, which keeps the finish approachable for most loadouts.

Nova | Candy Apple Case and Collection

This finish belongs to The Italy Collection, which debuted in November 2013 alongside the "Out with the old, in with the new" update. The collection has no associated weapon case, so regular copies come from collection drops and the open market rather than case unboxing.

Nova | Candy Apple Patterns

The artwork is fixed — the paint-seed index does not change how any copy looks, and the red-and-black layout lands identically every time. There's no "best pattern" or blue-gem seed to chase here; only wear and float set one copy apart from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There's no StatTrak version of this skin. StatTrak counters are minted inside weapon cases, and the Italy Collection was never tied to a case, so no StatTrak copy was ever produced. A Souvenir version does exist, though — it first appeared in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and later showed up in other Major-tournament souvenir packages.

Nova | Candy Apple Price

Factory New sits at the top of this finish's price ladder — a clear step above Minimal Wear and Field-Tested, and a high-end pick relative to the rest of the Nova lineup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Factory New worth it over Minimal Wear?

If you want the red coat as deep and even as possible, yes. Factory New shows the lacquer with zero visible scuffing, while Minimal Wear carries only faint edge marks. The gap is subtle on a glossy solid-color finish like this, so budget-minded buyers often find Minimal Wear the smarter pick.

Which gloves go with Candy Apple?

Its red-and-black palette suits a bold, warm loadout, so red or dark gloves work best — a red pair echoes the candy lacquer, while black wraps keep the contrast clean. It slots nicely into any red-themed setup built around fiery reds and deep blacks.

Does the paint seed change how it looks?

No. The design is fixed, so every copy carries the red-and-black artwork the same way regardless of paint seed. There's no rare pattern variant to hunt, which means condition — the float that decides the wear grade — is the only thing that visually separates one copy from the next.
