Sawed-Off | Bamboo Shadow (Battle-Scarred)
The Sawed-Off | Bamboo Shadow (Battle-Scarred) is a Consumer Grade shotgun skin with a gray body and a hydrographic of brush-painted bamboo, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the ink design, trading surface polish for the lowest entry price.
Design
At its core the finish is a calligraphic study: a hydrographic of brush-painted bamboo over a gray body, quiet and understated rather than a loud graphic. Designed by Valve, it ships with a heavy line: "Kotaro lost his son to this gun... and one day he'll use it to stop the man responsible."
Sawed-Off | Bamboo Shadow (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The finish is float-capped at 0.60, so even Battle-Scarred stays milder than on a full-1.0 skin — it never reaches the most battered end of the scale. It remains the roughest grade the finish comes in, though, with heavy scratching and paint loss across the gray base, while the bamboo brushwork keeps the design readable.
Sawed-Off | Bamboo Shadow Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade — the white tier at the very bottom of the standard weapon grades. As the most common class of all, it keeps this heavily worn copy cheap and plentiful.
Sawed-Off | Bamboo Shadow Case and Collection
Part of The Rising Sun Collection, which debuted in May 2015 with Operation Bloodhound, this finish has no case of its own. Its copies come from in-game drops and trade-ups rather than unboxing, so buyers source them from the market.
Sawed-Off | Bamboo Shadow Patterns
The finish carries a fixed design, so the paint seed doesn't alter the look — the bamboo hydrographic sits the same on every copy. There's no seed to chase and no blue-gem version, which leaves wear and float as the only things that set copies apart.
StatTrak & Souvenir
Only the regular finish exists for this skin — there's no StatTrak and no Souvenir version. The counter tag is minted through weapon cases, and this collection has none, so it was never produced. Souvenir editions come solely from Major-tournament packages, which this skin never appeared in.
Sawed-Off | Bamboo Shadow Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of this finish, the entry-level way to run the bamboo design for players who value the look over the condition. If you want the ink-pattern shotgun for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Bamboo Shadow still recognizable?
Yes. Despite heavy scratching and paint loss, the gray base and bamboo brushwork keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the artwork — you still get a recognizable Bamboo Shadow for less.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred copy look fully destroyed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.60 rather than the full 1.0, its worst copies never reach the most extreme wear seen on uncapped skins. That cap keeps even the Battle-Scarred grade fairly legible, with the bamboo detail surviving through the damage.
Can I get this skin with a kill counter?
No. A StatTrak version would have to be minted through a weapon case, and this collection has none, so no kill-counter edition exists. Bamboo Shadow is sold only as the regular finish, with no Souvenir version either — the standard skin is the one you'll find.
