Sawed-Off | Black Sand (Field-Tested)
The Sawed-Off | Black Sand (Field-Tested, FT) is a Mil-Spec shotgun skin with a tan and black military camo. Field-Tested is the most common way to own the camo and the friendliest grade on the wallet.
Design
Black Sand is all business — a tan and black military camo pattern spread across the shotgun, a grounded tactical finish with no flashy graphics. The community artist MGBazz created it, and its in-game inscription fits the theme: "Mikah did not account for highly motivated opposition."
Sawed-Off | Black Sand (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
Within the 0.00–0.90 float range, Field-Tested sits in the middle stretch. Scratching becomes visible along the edges and across the body at this grade, giving the finish a used feel, though the camo hides wear well enough that most copies still read cleanly. It's the practical grade for players who don't need a flawless surface.
Sawed-Off | Black Sand Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier and the entry level of the standard weapon grades. As the most frequently seen class, it helps keep this finish affordable across every wear.
Sawed-Off | Black Sand Case and Collection
This finish is a member of The Danger Zone Collection and comes out of the Danger Zone Case, which arrived in December 2018. The blue Mil-Spec tier appears most often from the case, a rate shared among its skins; with the case widely opened, the market carries plenty of copies.
Sawed-Off | Black Sand Patterns
Because the design is fixed, the paint seed changes nothing about the appearance — the tan and black camo falls the same way on every copy. There's no top seed to track down and no blue-gem variant, leaving wear and float as the only real differences.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak version of this finish is out there, minted through the Danger Zone Case and carrying a confirmed-kill counter that never gets wiped through trades or sales. No Souvenir edition was ever produced, because Souvenir weapons come strictly from Major-tournament packages and this skin didn't feature in one.
Sawed-Off | Black Sand Price
Field-Tested lands below Minimal Wear (MW) on the price ladder, offering the camo for a little less in exchange for some visible wear. It's an affordable mid-tier route into the design and the grade you'll spot most often. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Field-Tested Black Sand look?
Moderately, though the camo helps. You'll see scratching around the edges and across the body, but the tan-and-black pattern masks a lot of it, so most copies still read reasonably clean at a glance. It's the trade-off Field-Tested makes for its lower price.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade of this skin?
For most buyers, yes. It costs less than the cleaner grades while keeping the camo recognizable, and the pattern hides wear well, so it looks close to pricier grades. If you want the finish cheaply without dropping to Well-Worn (WW), this is the sensible middle ground.
Does Black Sand have a Souvenir version?
No. Souvenir weapons are created only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish was never distributed that way. It does have a StatTrak edition from the Danger Zone Case; otherwise the regular finish is the one you'll find trading hands.
