SCAR-20 | Caged (Field-Tested)
The SCAR-20 | Caged (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec autosniper skin with a blue-and-purple gradient body. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it, adding honest wear at a lower price than the higher grades.
Design
The Caged look is pure color: a blue-to-purple gradient stretched across the SCAR-20 with no decals or patterns to distract from the fade. Community artist -AVR- built the finish, and it comes with a playful in-game line nodding to the name: "That's a big weapon for such a small cage..."
SCAR-20 | Caged (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
With the finish covering the full 0.00–1.00 float range, Field-Tested lands in the middle of the scale. Expect light scuffing along the edges and high-touch areas, though the gradient holds its color through it and still reads clearly. This is the grade most players picture — a fair trade of a little wear for a friendlier price.
SCAR-20 | Caged Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier and the base rung of the colored grades. Being the most common tier to unbox is what keeps this finish affordable and widely available.
SCAR-20 | Caged Case and Collection
Part of The Genesis Collection, Caged launched with the Show Off update in September 2025 and is obtained from the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The Mil-Spec tier dominates that pool at about 79.92% of drops (the figure is shared across every skin in the tier), leaving plenty of copies circulating on the market.
SCAR-20 | Caged Patterns
Caged has a fixed design, so the paint seed changes nothing — the blue-to-purple gradient falls the same way on every single copy. There's no elusive pattern or blue gem worth chasing; wear and float are all that distinguish one from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish comes as a regular version alone — no StatTrak counter and no Souvenir tag exist for it. The reason there's no Souvenir edition is mechanical: those are produced strictly through Major-tournament packages, and The Genesis Collection has never featured at a Major.

FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Caged look worn?
Only mildly. There's light scuffing on the edges and grip areas, but the gradient itself keeps its color and reads clearly across the body. For most players it's a small cosmetic trade for a lower price — the finish still looks the part in-game at this grade.
Why is Field-Tested the popular choice?
It hits the balance most buyers want: the blue-to-purple color stays obvious, the wear is minor, and the price undercuts the cleaner grades. Because Mil-Spec drops are so common, Field-Tested copies are everywhere too, so you're rarely waiting long to find one at a fair number.
Is there a rare pattern on the Field-Tested Caged?
No. The gradient is fixed, meaning the seed index doesn't alter the look at all — every copy is visually identical apart from wear. There's no blue gem or special placement to hold out for, so at this grade you're simply choosing the float you're comfortable with.
