SCAR-20 | Cyrex (Battle-Scarred)
The SCAR-20 | Cyrex (Battle-Scarred) is a Classified autosniper skin with a high-tech black, white and red design, in its most weathered condition. It's the cheapest entry to a grail-tier finish, trading surface quality for the lowest price.
Design
Cyrex keeps its machine-like character intact: a custom high-tech scheme in black, white and red across the SCAR-20, all angular paneling and cybernetic linework. The finish is a community design from the artist Nextgenz, and it ships with a tense in-game line: "Sebastien is coming for me Valeria... we don't have much time."
SCAR-20 | Cyrex (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The finish is float-capped at 0.50 rather than a full 1.0, so even Battle-Scarred copies stop well short of the most extreme wear — this grade stays notably milder than an uncapped skin would at the bottom. Scuffing and paint loss still spread across the body and the red accents dull, but the black, white and red layout holds together and stays readable.
SCAR-20 | Cyrex Rarity
Rarity: Classified — the pink tier, sitting directly below Covert as the second-highest of the standard weapon grades. It's a genuinely uncommon grade to unbox, and that scarcity is a big part of why the finish sits high-end.
SCAR-20 | Cyrex Case and Collection
Belonging to The Huntsman Collection, Cyrex is unboxed from the Huntsman Weapon Case, which came out with "The Hunt Begins" update in May 2014. The Classified tier drops around 3.2% of the time from the case (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and since the case is out of the active drop pool, the market carries most copies today.
SCAR-20 | Cyrex Patterns
The black, white and red design is fixed on every copy, so paint seed plays no role — the same layout appears in the same place each time, with no rare placement or blue gem in the mix. Wear and float are the sole differences from one Battle-Scarred copy to the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak Cyrex beside the standard finish; it tacks on a confirmed-kill counter, drops more rarely, and costs more, with a permanent count that never gets wiped through trades or sales. There's no Souvenir variant — those come only from Major-tournament packages, and The Huntsman Collection has never been a Major drop.
SCAR-20 | Cyrex Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish, the entry-level way to run Cyrex for players who care about the design more than the condition. If you want the black, white and red SCAR-20 at the lowest cost, this is the way in. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Cyrex still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the scuffing and dulled accents, the black, white and red layout still reads as Cyrex at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear in exchange for the lowest price on a grail-tier finish — the design's identity survives even at its roughest grade.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Cyrex look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.50 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear — the cap is unusually low, so this grade stays milder than most. The red accents dull and the body scuffs, but the tech design holds together far better than an uncapped skin would.
Does float or pattern drive the price at this grade?
Float, not pattern. Since the design is fixed, the seed index is irrelevant to value — every copy looks the same aside from wear. The exact float within the Battle-Scarred band nudges the look and price a little, but there's no rare pattern premium to factor in here.
