What the StatTrak™ counter does
The StatTrak™ SCAR-20 | Crimson Web (Field-Tested, FT) is the StatTrak™ copy of this skin — the same Mil-Spec Grade finish, the same look, with a kill counter built into the model. The Crimson Web look is dark and dramatic: a spider-web hydrographic over a red base coat, sealed with a semi-gloss topcoat, so fine black webbing crawls across deep crimson on the SCAR-20. Field-Tested spans 0.15–0.38 on the float scale — the middle grade, and usually the easiest one to find on the market.
What StatTrak™ changes about the price of the SCAR-20 | Crimson Web
The counter logs every confirmed kill you get with it and keeps the running total on the model. It belongs to the item and not to your account, so it travels with the skin through every trade and sale, and nothing sets it back to zero. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows.
Where a StatTrak™ copy comes from
A StatTrak™ copy is far scarcer than a plain one at the same finish and exterior, so it normally costs more. How much more follows the finish and the float rather than the number on the counter — a high kill count is a curiosity, not a price driver.
FAQ
Part of The Arms Deal 2 Collection, Crimson Web is unboxed from the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 that arrived with "The Arms Deal 2" update in November 2013. StatTrak™ is settled at the drop: a copy either leaves the case with a counter or never has one, and it cannot be added afterwards.
Can the StatTrak counter on the SCAR-20 | Crimson Web be reset?
No. The count only moves one way and stays with the item through every trade and sale. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows. It still cannot lower the number.
Does StatTrak change how the SCAR-20 | Crimson Web looks?
No, apart from the counter on the model. The finish, the pattern and the float range are identical to the plain version, so at the same exterior the two look the same in hand.
