StatTrak™ AWP | Lightning Strike (Minimal Wear)
What the StatTrak™ counter does
The StatTrak™ AWP | Lightning Strike (Minimal Wear, MW) is the StatTrak™ copy of this skin — the same Covert finish, the same look, with a kill counter built into the model. A single white lightning bolt cuts down the deep black body of Lightning Strike — a minimalist, high-contrast design that says everything with one graphic rather than a crowded scene. Minimal Wear covers 0.07–0.15 on the float scale, a step below Factory New, with wear that stays hard to spot at a glance.
What StatTrak™ changes about the price of the AWP | Lightning Strike
What the counter tracks is confirmed kills, shown as a running total on the model itself. It is tied to the item, not to the owner, so the number follows the skin from inventory to inventory and only ever goes up. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows.
Where a StatTrak™ copy comes from
The StatTrak™ premium comes from scarcity: far fewer copies exist at the same finish and exterior. It is the finish and the float that set the figure, though — the kill count on a given copy barely moves it either way.
FAQ
Part of The Arms Deal Collection, Lightning Strike is unboxed from the CS:GO Weapon Case, which shipped with the Arms Deal update on August 14, 2013 — the patch that introduced weapon cases in the first place, marking this as one of the original launch AWP skins. StatTrak™ is settled at the drop: a copy either leaves the case with a counter or never has one, and it cannot be added afterwards.
Can the StatTrak counter on the AWP | Lightning Strike be reset?
No. The count only moves one way and stays with the item through every trade and sale. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows. It still cannot lower the number.
Does StatTrak change how the AWP | Lightning Strike looks?
No, apart from the counter on the model. The finish, the pattern and the float range are identical to the plain version, so at the same exterior the two look the same in hand.
