Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Field-Tested)

Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Field-Tested)

The Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec pistol skin featuring a hydrographic purple-and-beige graphic. Field-Tested is the middle ground here, offering a solid look at a friendlier price than the top grade.

Design

The finish wraps the Tec-9 in a purple and beige hydrographic print, a tarp-like graphic that community artist Algis put together. It ships with the fitting flavor line "It'll take more than a tarp to protect you," which sums up the improvised, patched aesthetic well.

Tec-9 | Sandstorm (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Since the Sandstorm's float sits between 0.10 and 0.70, Field-Tested lands in the middle of that range. Expect visible speckling and light surface wear across the grip and slide, though the purple-and-beige print still reads clearly. It's the grade most players actually own, balancing looks against cost.

Tec-9 | Sandstorm Rarity

This is a Mil-Spec Grade skin, the blue tier and the baseline rarity for weapon-case drops. It's the most commonly obtained grade in the case, well below the scarcer high-end finishes.

Tec-9 | Sandstorm Case and Collection

The Sandstorm belongs to The Phoenix Collection, unboxed from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case that debuted alongside Operation Phoenix in February 2014. Mil-Spec drops from that case land around 79.92% of the time as a group, and since the case is no longer active, buyers now pick up most copies through the market instead of opening cases.

Tec-9 | Sandstorm Patterns

Every copy of the Sandstorm carries the identical purple-and-beige print — there's no paint-seed roll, so no "blue gem" pattern exists to chase. Only float and wear separate one copy from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak version of this finish is available alongside the regular one, adding a permanent confirmed-kill counter once activated. No Souvenir copies exist, since Souvenir weapons only ever come from Major-tournament packages, and this finish has never been part of one.

Tec-9 | Sandstorm Price

Field-Tested sits below Minimal Wear on the price ladder but above the more worn grades, making it the value pick for most buyers. It keeps the affordable mid-tier price point the Sandstorm is known for. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does a Field-Tested Sandstorm look?

It shows some honest speckling and light scuffs across the grip and slide, but the purple-and-beige hydrographic remains easy to make out. It's a step down from Minimal Wear in condition, not in recognizability.

Is Field-Tested the best value grade for the Sandstorm?

For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Minimal Wear while keeping the print fully legible, and it's typically easier to find on the market than the top grade. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper still if price is the only priority.

What gloves pair well with the Sandstorm?

The purple-and-beige palette leans naturally toward warm, earthy loadouts, so tan or brown gloves complement it nicely, while a purple-toned pair picks up the hydrographic's accent color for a more matched set.
