USP-S | Stainless (Field-Tested)
The USP-S | Stainless (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec Grade pistol skin with a matte black frame and a polished stainless-steel slide, here with a touch of honest wear. It's the most common and affordable way to own the silver-on-black look.
Design
At its core the finish is a matte black body paired with a bright, polished stainless-steel slide — an industrial, minimalist design that trades graphics for the contrast of cold metal against a dark frame. It's a Valve creation, and that silver slide is the entire visual identity.
USP-S | Stainless (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
This finish spans a float of 0.00–0.80, and Field-Tested lands in the middle (roughly 0.15–0.38). Here the slide starts to show some darker surface toning and light texturing where the polish dulls, while the black frame picks up minor scuffs on the edges. The silver-and-black contrast still reads clearly, though — this is the grade most owners settle on for the balance of looks and price.
USP-S | Stainless Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, and the most common grade among named weapon finishes. Its accessible spot on the rarity ladder is a large part of why so many players run this USP-S.
USP-S | Stainless Case and Collection
This finish is part of The Arms Deal 3 Collection and comes out of CS:GO Weapon Case 3, released alongside the "Introducing the CZ75-Auto" update in February 2014. Across that case the Mil-Spec tier unboxes at about 79.92% (the rate is shared across the tier), and since it's an older case, buyers pick up most copies on the market rather than from fresh drops.
USP-S | Stainless Patterns
No random pattern variation applies to this skin — the black frame and polished slide sit the same on every copy, so there's nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version is out there, sourced from CS:GO Weapon Case 3 and carrying a confirmed-kill counter; it drops more rarely and costs more than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, following the item through trades and sales. There's no Souvenir edition — Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish never featured in one.
USP-S | Stainless Price
Field-Tested is the value heart of the range — cheaper than the higher grades while keeping the design fully recognizable, which is why it's the copy most players reach for. It stays a premium pick without demanding top-grade money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Field-Tested Stainless look?
Moderately. The slide loses some of its mirror polish and takes on darker toning and light texture, and the black frame shows minor edge scuffs. It's clearly more marked than Minimal Wear but far from beaten up, and the silver-on-black look still carries fine in game.
Is Field-Tested the best value?
For most buyers, yes. It's the cheapest grade that still shows the design clearly, sitting well below the higher conditions in price while keeping the signature contrast. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost less again if you want the lowest entry point and don't mind a duller, more textured slide.
Does float affect the black frame much?
Less than it affects the slide. The matte black body hides scuffing reasonably well, so most of the visible change from float shows on the steel slide, which toning and texture dull as the number climbs. The frame mostly just gathers light edge wear.
