USP-S | Flashback (Battle-Scarred)
The USP-S | Flashback (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted pistol skin with a vibrant, hand-painted green finish, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the loud green look, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price.
Design
At heart Flashback is a saturated green coat on the silenced USP-S — a design that trades detail for a color that shouts. Community creator Superior Weapons hand painted it "in an attempt to make a suggestion about the duality of man," as the in-game description reads, and it carries the flavor line "Sierra Hotel Hotel Hotel."
USP-S | Flashback (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The finish spans float 0.00–0.50 and is capped at 0.50, so it never reaches the extreme end of the 1.0 wear scale — Battle-Scarred copies here stay milder than they would on an uncapped skin. Even so, this is the roughest grade the Flashback comes in, with heavy scuffing and paint loss across the body, while the green keeps the look readable.
USP-S | Flashback Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple tier. It sits above Mil-Spec and below Classified in the standard weapon grades, a mid-tier rarity a notch above the common drops.
USP-S | Flashback Case and Collection
The Flashback is part of The Danger Zone Collection and is unboxed from the Danger Zone Case, which released with the Danger Zone update in December 2018. Across the case the Restricted tier drops at roughly 15.98% (a rate shared across the tier's skins), so copies in every grade circulate freely on the market.
USP-S | Flashback Patterns
No random pattern variation applies to the Flashback — the green finish appears the same on every single copy, meaning there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt. Wear and float are all that separate one from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's also a StatTrak™ USP-S | Flashback, which fits a confirmed-kill counter to the pistol; it's rarer and more expensive than the standard Danger Zone Case drop, and the counter is permanent, following the item through trades and sales alike. No Souvenir variant was ever produced — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages, and the Danger Zone Case has never been a Major drop.

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin, the entry-level way to run the green design for players who care about the color more than the condition. Is the Battle-Scarred Flashback still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and paint loss, the bright green base keeps the design clearly readable at a glance in a match. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the loud color that makes the skin worth owning.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Flashback look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.50 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never hit the most extreme wear a skin can show. That cap, plus a green base that stays vivid, keeps the Flashback more legible at its roughest than many finishes get.
Which gloves go with the Flashback?
Its saturated green pairs naturally with green or olive gloves, while neutral black or gray wraps let the pistol be the loud element on its own. It drops easily into a green-accented loadout beside other bright skins.
