XM1014 | Ancient Lore (Well-Worn)
The XM1014 | Ancient Lore (Well-Worn) is a Restricted shotgun skin showing its pale green, beige and red tile pattern in a more weathered state. It's a cheaper way into the historical mosaic design, with wear the busy artwork still partly disguises.
Design
The design drapes the XM1014 in a field of ancient tiles rendered in green, beige and red — an artistic, heritage-inspired finish rather than a tactical wrap. It was made by Valve, and it comes with a reflective in-game line: "Hope remains, even for those who began their journey down the wrong path."
XM1014 | Ancient Lore (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Well-Worn falls near the top of the finish's 0.00–0.50 float scale. At this level scuffing and paint loss show clearly across the body, and the colors read a little duller, though the tile pattern keeps the design recognizable. For players who prioritize price over a spotless surface, it delivers the look for less.
XM1014 | Ancient Lore Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the purple grade. It sits just beneath Classified and a rung above Mil-Spec in the standard weapon hierarchy — an uncommon tier overall.
XM1014 | Ancient Lore Case and Collection
Belonging to The Ancient Collection, this finish launched with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. No weapon case produces it; regular copies flow from collection drops and trade-ups instead, which keeps the total supply tied to the collection's active period.
XM1014 | Ancient Lore Patterns
There's no random roll on this finish — the tile mosaic is fixed, appearing the same on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth tracking. The wear grade and float value are the only variables between two Ancient Lore shotguns.
StatTrak & Souvenir
No StatTrak version was ever produced here; StatTrak counters only come from weapon cases, and this finish wasn't part of any case pool. Alongside the regular finish there is a Souvenir edition, distributed at Major tournaments — first via the Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package and later through additional Major souvenir packages.
XM1014 | Ancient Lore Price
Well-Worn sits low on this finish's ladder, under Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget route into the mosaic design for players who won't pay the mid-grade premium. It's one of the cheaper ways to run this look. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn Ancient Lore look?
Noticeably. You'll see scuffing and paint thinning across the body, and the palette loses a little of its punch — more wear than Field-Tested, but short of Battle-Scarred's heavy battering. The tile pattern keeps it identifiable, so it still reads as Ancient Lore in-game.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Only if price leads your decision. Field-Tested looks meaningfully cleaner for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the mosaic design as cheaply as possible without going all the way down to Battle-Scarred.
Does the Well-Worn grade hurt the tile pattern much?
Less than you'd expect. Because the artwork is dense and multi-colored, the added scuffing blends into it rather than erasing it. The green, beige and red tiles stay legible, so the finish keeps its identity even as the surface picks up visible wear at this grade.
