XM1014 | CaliCamo (Well-Worn)
The XM1014 | CaliCamo (Well-Worn) is an Industrial Grade shotgun with a VariCamo patterned hydrographic camouflage, here in a visibly aged state. It's a cheaper route into the tactical camo look, with wear the busy pattern still partly disguises.
Design
At heart the finish is a VariCamo hydrographic — a tactical camouflage dipped across the shotgun for a rugged, field-ready feel. It's a Valve-made design, and it carries a bleak in-game quip: "Rebuilding only comes in the wake of destruction."
XM1014 | CaliCamo (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Well-Worn sits high on the capped 0.00–0.60 float range. Because that cap sits below 1.0, even this grade never reaches the most extreme wear a full-scale skin would. You'll see clear scuffing and paint thinning on edges and contact points, with the camo pattern staying readable through the aging.
XM1014 | CaliCamo Rarity
Grade-wise it's Industrial — the light-blue tier toward the bottom of the standard weapon ranks. Being a common band, it keeps supply healthy, which matters most at the budget end where this grade lives.
XM1014 | CaliCamo Case and Collection
CaliCamo comes from The Italy Collection, which launched with the "Out with the old, in with the new" update on November 27, 2013. With no case behind the collection, its skins were never unboxed — copies circulate through collection drops and secondary-market trades.
XM1014 | CaliCamo Patterns
Copies don't differ by pattern. The VariCamo hydrographic is a fixed layout placed the same on every unit, so the paint seed has no effect and there's no "blue gem" seed to track down. Wear and float remain the only distinguishing factors.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A regular version and a Souvenir version both exist, yet no StatTrak variant does — a counter was never minted for this finish. Souvenir copies started with the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and continued through later Major souvenir packages, since only Major tournaments produce Souvenir weapons.
XM1014 | CaliCamo Price
Well-Worn sits low on the ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a cheaper way into a finish that otherwise runs premium for the XM1014. It suits players who want the camo look without the top-grade cost. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn CaliCamo look?
Noticeably. Expect visible scuffing and paint thinning along edges and contact points — more than Field-Tested but held back by the finish's float cap. The busy VariCamo pattern keeps it recognizable, so it still reads clearly as a tactical camo shotgun in-game rather than simply damaged.
Does the float cap limit how worn it gets?
Yes. CaliCamo tops out at 0.60 rather than 1.0, so even Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies stay milder than the worst grades of a full-scale skin. You get honest aging without the fully stripped, bare-metal extreme that uncapped finishes reach at the top of their float range.
Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?
Mainly if price is the priority. Field-Tested looks a bit tidier for a modest step up in cost, so many buyers land there. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the tactical camo finish as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.
