The AK-47 | Safety Net (Field-Tested) is a Restricted rifle skin with a high-visibility orange-and-silver mesh over a white base, like a safety net across the rifle. Field-Tested is the most common and affordable way to own it, with honest wear that the light base doesn't fully hide.

Design

The finish drapes a high-visibility net of orange and silver over a white base, and the effect is exactly what the name promises — a safety net pulled across the rifle. It's Valve's own design, paired with the tongue-in-cheek in-game line: "Your loadout; now with high visibility."

AK-47 | Safety Net (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

At Field-Tested the finish shows clear scratching along the edges and on the magazine, and because the base is white that wear is more visible than it would be on a dark skin. The orange-and-silver mesh still stands out as the main event, keeping the safety-net look intact. This is the grade most players land on when they want the design without spending on the cleaner exteriors.

AK-47 | Safety Net Rarity

Safety Net is a Restricted-tier finish, marked by the purple grade that falls between Mil-Spec below it and Classified above it. It's more sought-after than the everyday blue skins, though it stops short of the rarest categories.

Safety Net comes from The 2018 Inferno Collection, where its Restricted grade means roughly a 15.98% chance of appearing when the collection's Souvenir packages yield a skin. The first of those was the London 2018 Inferno Souvenir Package. Trading, not unboxing, is how most owners get theirs.

Every Safety Net wears the same mesh layout; the finish has no random pattern variation, meaning no paint seed or "blue gem" to search for. The single difference between copies comes down to wear and float.

You won't find a StatTrak version of this finish — StatTrak is produced through weapon cases, whereas Safety Net drops from Major-tournament Souvenir packages rather than any StatTrak-enabled case. Does the Field-Tested grade look worn?

Is Field-Tested the cheapest good-looking Safety Net?
