What Are Lore Knives in CS2
The Lore knives are essentially a callback to the legendary AW Dragon Lore, probably the most well-known skin in the entire history of the Counter-Strike franchise as we know it. These knives draw direct inspiration from the skin created by ‘Chippy’, featuring a plethora of similar elements and the exact colorway. However, the iconic graphics on all the Lore knives are fitted according to their shape, so some may look a bit underwhelming if there's less space to apply decorative elements. The concept of the knives is pretty much the same – mythological aesthetic with a slight touch of Celtic folklore. Fingers crossed, one day we’ll witness the legendary addition of the Gungnir knife skin line.
The first Lore knives were added first added in the Gamma Cases way back in Summer 2016, and the latter ones were introduced only in five years, on September 21, 2021, as part of the legendary Operation Riptide update. The Lore knife skin line is extremely popular and highly recognizable, giving regular players a chance to touch the CS legacy for a much more affordable price. Combine them with a decent pair of gloves and you’ll definitely stand out from the rest on the server.
All CS:GO and CS2 Lore Knives
Here are all the CS2 Lore knives currently present in the game:
1. Butterfly Knife | Lore
Price Range: $1050 – $4700

The iconic Butterfly Knife features a Celtic engraving on the sharp side of the blade along with the unique pattern on the folding handle of the knife. A Factory New non-StatTrak version costs upwards of $5000, making it the most expensive vanilla Lore knife, to no one’s surprise.
2. M9 Bayonet | Lore
Price Range: $726 – $2816

The legendary M9 Bayonet may seem like an odd one, considering its modern look collided with the Dragon Lore aesthetic. However, it works for some reason, and this knife will look great with pretty much any gloves.
3. Karambit | Lore
Price Range: $1080 – $2560

There’s not a single variant of Karambit that looks dull, considering its iconic and highly recognizable design. However, the Lore aesthetic fits ridiculously well with the unique shape of the blade, twisting the Celtic engraving towards the sharp tip of the knife.
4. Flip Knife | Lore
Price Range: $291 – $534

If you’re not willing to spend a couple of g’s on a knife, then the Flip Knife is the way to go. One of the more affordable offers in our list, the Flip Knife is a decent addition to anyone’s inventory with a recognizable Lore elements and recognizable colorway.
5. Huntsman Knife | Lore
Price Range: $174 – $820

Yet another cheap Lore knife, but this one is even more affordable if you don’t mind getting a Battle-Scarred or a Well-Worn knife for your collection. These Huntsman knives are known for their brutal hunting aesthetic, and combine it with the Celtic mythology, you get a unique sword of divine punishment.
6. Shadow Daggers | Lore
Price Range: $128 – $231

The shinobi meets the Northern mythology, and in this fusion we have the Lore Shadow Daggers, a pair of stealth-action push daggers. These may not feature the coveted rich green color due to the lack of traditional knife handle, but one can compensate this miss with the knives’ affordable price.
7. Gut Knife | Lore
Price Range: $164 – $300

Heavily underrated, the Gut Knife is often ignored by the CS2 players and collectors due to its peculiar blade shape and a simple wooden handle. However, the Lore variant of Gut Knife is something else – the pristine green handle combined with the golden blade decorated with a Celtic pattern makes for a fantastic design on a budget.
8. Bowie Knife | Lore
Price Range: $166 – $237

If you’re in a market for something that is robust and menacing, then the Bowie Knife is the way to go. The runic pattern is long and visible throughout the entire length of a massive blade, so this knife will make you stand out for sure. Oh, and it’s extremely cheap as well, as you can get a Minimal Wear quality variant for less than $250.
9. Falchion Knife | Lore
Price Range: $184 – $300

A utilitarian knife with a touch of Northern mythology is a great addition to any green or yellow pair of gloves. Unique pullout animations combined with the three-tone colorway make this knife stand out even within the Lore knife skin line.
10. Bayonet | Lore
Price Range: $366 – $820

Ending our list, the M9’s little brother is more than capable when it comes to the cool stab, pullout and inspect animations. If you’re kind of overwhelmed with the M9’s “techy” design, then the classy and understated Bayonet might be just the ticket.

Driver Gloves | Racing Green + Karambit | Lore

If you’re balling out of your mind, then this combination is a no-brainer. Every enemy and teammate of yours will be frothing at mouth knowing how expensive your set is.
Broken Fang Gloves | Yellow-banded + Gut Knife | Lore

Well, considering that yours truly is not balling, unfortunately, this is the set I would buy without hesitation. The beautiful combination of warm yellow tones makes for one of the best combinations at this price range
Moto Gloves | Transport + Shadow Daggers | Lore

Not many of you out there would agree that this is a combination worth investing, however, it is absolutely aesthetically sound. This combination will go hard for all our Cyrax/Scorpion mains out there, so don’t knock it until you try this combination in game.
What is the Best CS2 Lore Knife?
Although it is subjective, many players and collectors consider the Butterfly Knife | Lore to be the absolute peak of the Lore knife skin line. In many ways, it all boils down to the status, considering that the Butterfly alongside the Karambit have been two of the most desired knives for a decade now. The status element translates well if we take into consideration the legendary status of the AWP | Dragon Lore, which you can also purchase at Skin.Land for the best price on the market.
