What’s Different About MP7 Fade

The MP7 | Fade was released on September 3rd, 2018, as part of the ‘FACEIT 2018 – Ways to Watch’ update and can be found in the 2018 Inferno Collection. While technically this skin is a “Fade” one, it doesn’t fully replicate the same characteristics of the Fade knives per se. The MP7 skin with a high percentage of “fade” in different doesn’t really change the price that much. Starting at around $30 for a Factory New version, you are unlikely to spend more than $40 for some unique gradient that you’ve been interested in. While the knives can set one back thousands of dollars depending on the pattern, the MP7 remains quite affordable no matter what gradient it sports. And the last thing we should mention is that the MP7 Fade’s float ranges between 0.00 and 0.25, meaning that you may only ever find this skin in Field-Tested, Minimal Wear and Factory New conditions. There are really no “heavily damaged” versions of the Fade and even Field-Tested conditions are quite good-looking.

We must preface this that there are no definitive guidelines or rules as to the MP7 Fade patterns, because this skin is in abundance and not as rare as other Fades. Don’t think of it as a tutorial on what's the best pattern in terms of investment, because pretty much all of them are in the same price bracket. Unlike other Fade skins where there’s a universal best pattern, the MP7 is somewhat more fluid. Nevertheless, here is the breakdown of the rarest and most unique MP7 Fade patterns

Absolute Fade  – Maximum Amount of Purple

These patterns are the rarest due to the maximum amount of purple that covers almost the entire weapon aside from the small parts of the barrel and the lower part of the handlegrip. 

Max Fade  – Prevalent Amount of Purple

These patterns are known to have practically no yellow visible to a naked eye.
