Recently we have covered the main updates that irreversibly changed the Counter-Strike 2 skin market with the ability to trade up to Gold items. Today, we will continue to do so and explore the matter of trading up Covert items to get gloves. While the price of the Covert items has risen quite a lot, there are still plenty of enticing glove options that could give you serious profit if you luck out on trading up contracts. In order to make this task easier for you, we’ve compiled the list of all the skins you might need in order to unbox gloves, just for your convenience. In today’s blog post, we’ll delve into the glove trade up contracts and how to pull them off.

How to Trade Up to Gloves?

If you’re committed to trading up to a pair of gloves, you’ll have to utilize a set of specific five Covert skins that can belong to a glove collection. Also, make sure that the skins you have for your trade up ARE NOT StatTrak, as there are no StatTrak gloves in CS2 and the skins with these features are, unfortunately, illegible for the trade up contracts. We understand that it can be quite difficult and overwhelming to follow all the stipulations with the updated trade up contracts, that’s why we have a detailed guide on the Trade Up contracts update. Below, you’ll find a simple instruction on how to trade up to gloves in 2025:

  • Pick the gloves you want – Select a glove case and buy 5 non-StatTrak Covert (red) skins from that exact case/collection. If you already have these 5 skins then skip to the next step

  • Prepare the skins for Trade Up – Ensure all your 5 skins are non-StatTrak, as there are no StatTrak glove counterparts. Also, we would recommend avoiding mixing collections if you want to guarantee gloves from a specific collection.

  • Create a Contract – Go into your inventory and proceed to “Trade Up Contract” section where you can drag 5 selected skins into the empty field

  • Confirm Trade Up – Confirm the operation down below by pressing “Ready to Proceed” and “Proceed”

  • Voila! – Your trade up is successful and we sure hope you get a great pair of gloves in the best quality possible!

What Skins Give Which Gloves?

Remember to use 5 skins from one collection to maximize the chance to get a specific knife. Also, make sure you don’t buy skins with StatTrak for the sake of trading up to gloves, as these skins are not eligible for that. And also don’t forget to be responsible with your funds, as this process can be quite risky, depending on how much you’ve spent on Covert skins. If you have them in abundance, then of course it can be significantly less nerve-racking. Below you’ll see which skins give which gloves:
