Every Major Change to the Season 4 Landscape

Here is the full list of changes for the latest CS2 patch:

  • Anubis has returned to the Active Duty map pool, replacing Train.
  • The MP7 and MP5-SD both received a damage increase and a reduction in damage fall-off. Additionally, their price has been reduced by $100 (now $1,400).
  • The price has been reduced by $100 (now $1,300).
  • PP-Bizon: The price has been reduced by $100 (now $1,300).
  • Scoped Rifles: Adjusted the scope dot size for the AUG and SG 553 to improve visibility.
  • Subtick Jumping: Landing time is now calculated with subtick precision, making movement feel more responsive.
  • Stamina Rework: Jumping and landing no longer consume stamina. Instead, the landing speed penalty is now a direct function of your landing time.
  • Weekly Care Package: Two brand-new collections, Harlequin and Achroma, have been added to the weekly drop pool.
  • Limited Edition Item: The AK-47 | Aphrodite has been introduced as the new limited-time item in the Armory, replacing the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated.
  • Inventory Changes: The Safehouse, Dust 2, 2018 Nuke, and 2018 Inferno collections have been removed from the weekly drop list.

Anubis Changes and New Map Pool

With Anubis returning to the Active Duty pool in place of Train, Valve has implemented several structural changes that fundamentally alter how the map plays at a competitive level. These adjustments focus on improving CT-side retake potential and opening up new utility lanes for T-side executes. Let's take a look what they changed.

The most striking change is the reversal of the Mid Doors. Previously, the doors favored T-side aggression by allowing quick picks into the CT-side of Mid. The new orientation provides CTs with better defensive angles and makes it harder for Ts to flood through without committing utility.

Furthermore, the Bridge drop has been shifted closer to the Mid Doors. This change compresses the space between the canal and mid, allowing for faster rotations but also making players in the canal more vulnerable to vertical crossfires from the bridge.

Navigating from Mid to the B-Site is now more complex thanks to a new hole at the top of Connector. This opening leads directly into the back of the B-Site, creating a "nest" style position.

The A-Site has been redesigned to feel less "flat." The crates that previously sat near the bottom of the A-steps have been moved further up toward the Walkway. This creates a tighter choke point for Ts entering from the main path.

To compensate for the cover shift, Valve added scaffolding to the main pillar. This introduces a new vertical element to the site, allowing defenders to hold "head-shot" angles or hide above the standard line of sight during a post-plant scenario.

New Skin Collections: Achroma and Harlequin

The Season 4 update breathes new life into the game’s economy with the introduction of two striking weapon collections: Harlequin and Achroma. Now part of the weekly care package rotation, these collections offer a sharp contrast in styles to suit any loadout.

The Harlequin Collection leans into a vibrant, chaotic aesthetic with bold patterns and playful jester-inspired motifs, while the Achroma Collection caters to fans of minimalism with its high-contrast, monochromatic designs and sleek metallic finishes.

With the removal of older sets like Safehouse and 2018 Inferno from the drop pool, these new additions are set to become the most sought-after items on the market this season.

New Limited Edition Skin in the Armory Pass

The centerpiece of the Season 4 Armory Pass is the breathtaking AK-47 | Aphrodite, a limited-edition masterpiece that replaces the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated as the game's premier seasonal reward. Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, the skin features a stunning pearlescent finish that shifts colors under different lighting, complemented by intricate, marble-like engravings of the goddess herself along the receiver. Its ethereal aesthetic and high-contrast gold accents make it one of the most visually distinct AK-47 skins ever released.

Community Maps

With the new season comes a new set of community maps.  From the winding paths of Stronghold to the active volcano of Sanctum, each map brings a ton of character and gameplay ideas to the table. Stronghold, Alpine, and Warren can be found in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes, while Poseidon and Sanctum are available in Wingman.

New Operation in CS2 has released?

Unfortunately, no. Despite high expectations and months of community speculation, the Season 4 update arrived without the long-awaited Operation.
