The Concept of CS:GO/CS2 Fade Skins
The Fade skin lineup is known for its beautiful coloration, there’s not a single skin on the market that you could potentially mistake for a Fade skin, no matter if it’s a knife or a gun. The distinct trifecta of golden yellow, pinkish red and purple and how these colors transition from one to another makes this series of skins recognizable and extremely desirable. This pattern can be seen on a variety of knives, a couple of pistols and SMGs, and don’t forget about the gorgeous Fade AWP. With these skins, you’re guaranteed to catch some envious looks and compliments on the server.
What is CS:GO/CS2 Skins Fade Pattern?
Even though all these skins look fascinating, some are more desirable and therefore more expensive. What sets them apart is the area of Fade’s coverage on the blade. Usually, the more purple you see on a blade, the more expensive this skin should be. The rarity of a Fade skin is determined by a pattern. These patterns can be visually differentiated, but also expressed in a numeric equivalent.
What is CS:GO/CS2 Skins Fade Percentage?
Each Fade skin has variations, ranging from 1% to 100%, with the latter being the more desirable value. For example, a knife with a 100% Fade pattern is considered a Full-Fade knife, making it considerably more expensive than the others. Visually, a Full-fade knife has a distinct part of the blueish purple hue on its blade. However, it’s entirely different with the AWP skin, as the Full-fade AWP has a huge chunk of yellow on its forestock instead of purple.
How to Check Fade Percentage in CS2?
If you’re looking how to check how much fade a knife is, there’s a great community-made tool called CSGO Fades that calculates the Fade percentage. This tool was made for CSGO fade percentage calculations. It is extremely easy-to-use, as it has only one slider to determine the fade percentage based on the seed number of a skin you’re inspecting. There are also a few other fade checkers created by third-party services that supposedly calculate the fade percentage, but a number of players noted that those calculations can be flawed.
Also, take the float into consideration, as it can also impact the price of your skin. Skins with no or minimal wear will always cost more (duh). Even though it’s pretty obvious, with a bigger float number, visible scratches will appear and make the knife less valuable, so make sure to inspect it before pulling the trigger.
Best Fade Skins in CS2
There are many Fade skins available on the market, and you really can’t go wrong with any, as this series is likely to always have an immense value. However, we would like to share some of our favorite Fade skins at the moment:
A very underrated knife skin, yet extremely beautiful, and the combination of a military-style blade covered in a fade gradient with a multi-material grip makes it quite unique and will definitely give you a few envious looks on the server.
Yet another luxurious item that could potentially grace your loadout, but these gloves will be perma-present on your screen with a beautiful mix of golden, purple and red hues, shimmering all over your screen.

Best Fade Pattern in CS:GO/CS2
Let’s get it clear, pretty much all Fade knives look amazing, but the ones that have 100% Fade pattern will always be considered the rarest and cost more. Knives with the maximum amount of a specific color (purple for knives and yellow for the AWP) are considered to be the most valuable. These are called the Full Fade knives, but there’s also a separate category of fake Full Fades, where the percentage is 98% or 99%. Below, the list of Full Fade patterns for knives and weapons:
