The Flip knife is one of four knives in Counter-Strike 2 that are available with the legendary Fire & Ice pattern. Its unique aggressive blade design combined with cool pull-out and inspect animation makes it a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a Fire & Ice pattern. The Marble Fade Flip Knife was added to CS:GO on January 8th, 2015, as part of the Full Spectrum update and is available in all Chroma cases. It is an extremely popular knife regardless of a pattern seed number. However, there are a select few patterns that tend to be more valuable and desirable due to rare distinct features – pure red and blue with no yellow or gold hues on the playside of the blade. Let’s take a closer look at the best Flip Knife Marble Fade patterns.

Marble Fade Finish Explained

The Marble Fade finish consists of red, blue and gold colors, using metallic paints with wavy smoke-like elements on top of the paint. Most patterns of this finish show varying amounts of each color, but the rare few that players find to be the most desirable are the ones without any gold/yellow. These patterns are called Fire & Ice due to the two-tone playside colorway consisting of red (Fire) and blue (Ice). There are also less valuable variants with slight touches of yellow/gold called Fake Fire & Ice. Float values of this particular knife are also limited to Factory New and Minimal Wear, with the latter showing a bit more wear on the corner of the blade near the handle.

Flip Knife Marble Fade Fire & Ice Patterns

The Counter-Strike community came up with a convenient measure of the Fire & Ice patterns, ranking them by Max Red tiers: a pattern with the most amount of red is awarded the 1st Max rating. There aren’t as many Fire & Ice patterns for Flip Knife when compared to something like Karambit or Bayonet, so scoring a clean 1st or 2nd Max is an extremely rare stroke of luck. The patterns in the lower Fire & Ice tiers also feature zero yellow on the playside of the blade, but have progressively less red color. They are still highly valuable, but not as unique and expensive.
