AWP | Containment Breach (Factory New)

AWP | Containment Breach (Factory New)

The AWP | Containment Breach (Factory New) is a Covert sniper rifle skin — a dark body drenched in glowing, radioactive-green splatter with a toxic biohazard theme. Factory New is the top grade the finish comes in, showing the neon greens at their most vivid and the splatter edges at their sharpest.

Design

Containment Breach is a community design by the artist Apel, built around a sci-fi contamination motif: a dark base overrun by acidic, neon-green splatter that depicts mutated rats scrambling out of a radioactive forest. The greens glow against the darker body for a distinctly toxic, hazmat-lab look, and the skin carries a fitting in-game line: "Who knows what radioactive diseases they carry…"

AWP | Containment Breach (Factory New) Float and Wear

This finish runs a float range of 0.00–1.00. Although the finish runs the full float scale, Factory New is the highest grade on offer. Here the green splatter reads its most saturated and the fine detail in the mutated-rat artwork stays fully legible, with no scratching to dull the glow. For collectors who want the toxic-green look exactly as the artist intended, this is the grade to reach for.

AWP | Containment Breach Rarity

Rarity: Covert — the red tier, the top of the standard weapon grades, above Classified. It's the rarest grade you can pull from the case, which is a big part of why this AWP carries the status it does.

AWP | Containment Breach Case and Collection

Containment Breach is part of The Shattered Web Collection and drops from the Shattered Web Case, released with Operation Shattered Web in November 2019. The Covert tier as a whole drops only about 0.64% of the time from the case (shared across the tier's skins), so pulls are rare — most copies change hands on the market rather than being unboxed.

AWP | Containment Breach Patterns

This finish has no random pattern variation — the green splatter and the mutated-rat artwork sit the same way on every copy, so there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to hunt for. Wear and float are the only things that separate one example from another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ AWP | Containment Breach exists and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a rarer, pricier drop than the standard skin, and the counter is permanent, carrying over when the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir version — Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and the Shattered Web Case was never handed out that way.

AWP | Containment Breach Price

Factory New sits at the very top of this AWP's price ladder as the highest grade available — a clear step above Minimal Wear and a premium pick within the AWP lineup. You're paying for the most vivid version of a Covert finish that many players consider the standout of its collection. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is Factory New worth the premium here?

If you want the toxic-green splatter at its most vivid and the artwork fully legible, yes. Factory New shows the finish exactly as designed, with no scratching to mute the glow. That said, Minimal Wear looks very close for less, so the premium is really about owning the top grade rather than a night-and-day visual gap.

Which gloves go with the Containment Breach?

Its acid-green-on-dark palette suits a toxic, high-contrast loadout, so green or dark gloves work best. A green pair — think Sport Gloves in a poison-green colorway — picks up the splatter, while black or gunmetal wraps keep the hazmat vibe grounded without fighting the neon.

Who designed this AWP?

It's a community creation by the artist Apel, chosen for The Shattered Web Collection. The design leans into a sci-fi containment theme — mutated rats fleeing a radioactive forest — which gives the finish its biohazard identity and sets it apart from the AWP's more abstract or camo-style skins.
