G3SG1 | Hunter (Battle-Scarred)
The G3SG1 | Hunter (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec Grade autosniper skin with dark wood paneling over a black base, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the wood-stock design, trading surface detail for the lowest entry price.
Design
At heart Hunter is warm timber: dark wood paneling covering the G3SG1's black frame, a rugged hunting-rifle look built on grain rather than bright color. The community artist Skaveria designed it, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "It smells of rich mahogany."
G3SG1 | Hunter (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Hunter runs a full float range of 0.00–1.00, and Battle-Scarred sits at the top of that scale. With no float cap, this grade can reach the most extreme wear the game allows — heavy scratching and paint loss strip much of the wood paneling back to the black base beneath, though enough grain survives to keep the design recognizable in-game.
G3SG1 | Hunter Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — the first rung above the common Consumer and Industrial grades. It's a frequent drop, and that's the main reason the finish is so inexpensive.
G3SG1 | Hunter Case and Collection
The finish belongs to The Spectrum 2 Collection and is pulled from the Spectrum 2 Case, released in September 2017. Across the case the Mil-Spec tier drops at roughly 79.92% (a rate shared among the tier's skins), so copies are abundant and among the cheapest around.
G3SG1 | Hunter Patterns
Hunter has a fixed layout — the wood paneling appears the same on every copy, so no paint seed or blue-gem roll is worth chasing. The only real difference between one copy and another comes down to wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ G3SG1 | Hunter is out there too, adding a confirmed-kill counter that logs your frags; it's a scarcer, pricier drop than the plain skin, and the count never gets wiped as the item changes hands. No Souvenir version was ever made — Souvenir weapons come strictly from Major-tournament packages, and the Spectrum 2 Case was never a Major giveaway.
G3SG1 | Hunter Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the wood-stock finish for players who care more about the look than the condition. It's about as low as a G3SG1 finish gets. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Hunter still recognizable?
Mostly. The heavy wear strips a lot of the wood paneling back toward the black base, so it looks rougher than the cleaner grades, but enough dark grain survives to read as Hunter at a glance. Battle-Scarred is about the lowest price on the finish, accepting the trade in surface condition.
Does the Battle-Scarred Hunter reach full wear?
Yes. Hunter has no float cap — its range runs the full 0.00 to 1.00 — so Battle-Scarred copies can hit the most extreme wear the game produces. That's different from float-capped skins, whose worst grade stays milder; here the paneling can thin out considerably at the top of the scale.
Is there a StatTrak Battle-Scarred Hunter?
Yes. A StatTrak G3SG1 | Hunter exists even at this grade, with a confirmed-kill counter that never gets wiped. It's rarer and more expensive than the standard Battle-Scarred copy, so the premium only makes sense if you specifically want the live frag tally on a budget-condition skin.
