The G3SG1 | Contractor (Field-Tested) is a Consumer Grade rifle skin whose body is sprayed in mismatched tan, navy and dark green blocks. Field-Tested adds a layer of honest, everyday wear that suits the finish's rugged, worksite theme.

Design

Design-wise it's pure utility: rather than one uniform color, the rifle wears tan, navy and dark green across separate parts, selling a patched, field-serviced aesthetic. The finish is Valve's own work, and it comes with an in-game line — "Rona Sabri still hasn't forgiven Sebastien for not selecting her to go after Turner."

On a float scale of 0.06 to 0.80, Field-Tested occupies the middle. Expect visible scratching along the edges and on the magazine, with a bit of the metal starting to show through the spray. That said, the rough theme actually absorbs the wear well, so the color blocks stay easy to make out and the skin looks the part.
