G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs (Battle-Scarred)
The G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec Grade autosniper skin themed on Danger Zone's tactical map display, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the map-graphic look, trading surface quality for the lowest entry price.
Design
A community design from the artist Debski, this finish is custom-painted after Danger Zone's tactical map display, giving the rifle a busy, screen-readout skin of grids and markers. It comes with a fitting line: "You have all the information you need — Franz Kriegeld, Phoenix Tactician."
G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred sits at the top of the finish's wear range, but that range is capped at 0.70 rather than the full 1.0, so even the roughest copies never hit the most extreme end of the float scale. Heavy scratching and paint loss cover the body here, yet the dense map graphics keep it legible, and the cap leaves it a little milder than a fully uncapped finish would be.
G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue class that sits one step above the base weapon grades. Being the most common drop level from a case, it's easy to find and priced accordingly across every wear, this one included.
G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs Case and Collection
This finish is drawn from The Operation Riptide Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Riptide Case, which launched with Operation Riptide in September 2021. The Mil-Spec tier pulls at roughly 79.92% from the case (a rate shared among the tier's skins), so there's no shortage of copies on the market.
G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs Patterns
Because the paint seed has no bearing on the artwork, every copy of this finish wears the map-display graphics the same way — there's no random pattern, no blue-gem seed, nothing to hunt. Wear and float stay the only variables between copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's also a StatTrak version of this finish, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's scarcer and more expensive than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent — it never gets wiped, carrying over whenever the item is traded or sold. A Souvenir edition was never made, as Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and the Operation Riptide Case was never one.
G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish, the entry-level way to run the map-display design for players who value the theme over the condition. It's the most budget-friendly point on what is otherwise a premium finish's ladder. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Keeping Tabs still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and paint loss, the dense map-display graphics keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the theme — the grid-and-marker look still comes through clearly on the body.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred version look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.70 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear the scale allows. Paired with the busy map graphics that break up the surface, the skin stays more legible here than many lighter, uncapped finishes at the same grade.
Is there a StatTrak Battle-Scarred Keeping Tabs?
Yes. A StatTrak copy is available at this grade, adding a confirmed-kill counter that never gets wiped and costing more than the regular version. There's no Souvenir option at any grade, since the Operation Riptide Case was never distributed at a Major tournament.
