The G3SG1 | New Roots (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec Grade autosniper skin in a green-and-brown vine-and-flower pattern, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the botanical look, trading surface quality for the lowest entry price.

Design

A Valve-made finish, New Roots is spray-painted with a pattern of vines and flowers in various shades of green, warmed with earthy brown tones. The overall effect is organic and natural — foliage across the body instead of a tactical camo. It comes with a fitting line: "Room to grow."

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and paint loss, the vine-and-flower pattern keeps the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the look — the green-and-brown foliage still comes through clearly on the body.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred version look completely trashed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.55 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear the scale allows. Paired with the busy floral pattern that breaks up the surface, the skin stays more legible here than many lighter, uncapped finishes at the same grade.

Does this finish have a kill counter?
