G3SG1 | New Roots (Well-Worn)
The G3SG1 | New Roots (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec Grade autosniper skin in a green-and-brown vine-and-flower pattern, here in a more weathered state. It's a cheaper route to the botanical look for players who don't mind visible wear.
Design
New Roots is a Valve-made finish. The rifle is spray-painted with vines and flowers across several shades of green, warmed by earthy brown, giving it a natural, growing look rather than a hard camo. Its in-game line suits the theme: "Room to grow."
G3SG1 | New Roots (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
On the 0.00–0.55 float scale, Well-Worn sits high up. Scuffing and paint loss are clear now across the edges and exposed metal, though the vine-and-flower pattern keeps the skin identifiable. This grade is for players who care more about a low price than a tidy surface.
G3SG1 | New Roots Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue class, sitting a rung above the base weapon grades. As the most common tier within its collection, it stays widely available and reasonably priced across its wears.
G3SG1 | New Roots Case and Collection
Part of The 2021 Dust 2 Collection, this finish first appeared with Operation Riptide in September 2021. It isn't tied to any weapon case; regular copies show up through collection drops and market trading, while Souvenir copies were produced for Major-tournament packages.
G3SG1 | New Roots Patterns
This finish rolls no random pattern. Since the paint seed doesn't alter the artwork, the vine-and-flower design is identical on every copy, and there's no rare seed or blue-gem version to seek out. Only wear and float make one copy different from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You won't find a StatTrak New Roots — no kill-counter version of the finish was ever produced. A Souvenir edition does exist beside the regular one, released through Major-tournament souvenir packages that began with Stockholm 2021 Dust II and continued with later Major packages. This is the standard, non-Souvenir finish.
G3SG1 | New Roots Price
Well-Worn falls near the bottom of the finish's price ladder, below the cleaner grades and above only Battle-Scarred. It's a more affordable way into a finish that otherwise runs premium, for players who don't mind the extra wear. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How worn does the Well-Worn New Roots look?
Noticeably. Expect obvious scuffing and paint thinning around the edges and raised metal — more than Field-Tested but short of Battle-Scarred's heavy battering. The vine-and-flower pattern keeps it recognizable in-game, so it still reads as New Roots even with the extra wear on show.
Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?
Only if the lowest price is your goal. Field-Tested looks distinctly tidier for a small step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want this premium botanical design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred.
Does New Roots come with StatTrak or Souvenir?
There's no StatTrak version at all, so no kill counter. There is a Souvenir version alongside the regular finish; it wasn't unboxed from a case but handed out in Major-tournament souvenir packages. The grade described here is the regular, non-Souvenir skin.
