G3SG1 | Stinger (Battle-Scarred)
The G3SG1 | Stinger (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted autosniper skin in wasp-yellow with gray accents, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the bold design, trading surface quality for the lowest entry price.
Design
The finish is built to shout: a bright yellow body broken up by gray accents for an unmistakable wasp-like look. Created by the community artist nozza, it ships with a fitting in-game line — "A moment of pain. Then nothing."
G3SG1 | Stinger (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The finish is float-capped at 0.70 rather than the full 1.0, so even Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme end of the wear scale. Heavy scratching and paint loss spread across the body and dull the yellow, but the wasp shape survives — this grade stays more legible than a fully uncapped skin would at the same label.
G3SG1 | Stinger Rarity
Rarity: Restricted — the purple grade, ranked above Mil-Spec and below Classified. It sits in the middle of the standard weapon tiers and is a genuinely uncommon pull from a case.
G3SG1 | Stinger Case and Collection
The Stinger belongs to The Glove Collection and drops from the Glove Case, which released alongside the Glove Case update in November 2016. Across the case the Restricted tier unboxes about 15.98% of the time (a figure pooled across the tier's skins), so any one Restricted finish is scarcer than that number alone suggests.
G3SG1 | Stinger Patterns
Every Stinger carries the same fixed yellow-and-gray artwork, so the finish has no random pattern variation — there's no paint seed or blue gem to seek out. Wear and float are all that set one copy apart from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's a StatTrak™ Stinger as well, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it drops more rarely and costs more than the standard skin, and its counter is permanent — it never gets wiped when the weapon is traded or sold. No Souvenir version exists, because Souvenir weapons are handed out only through Major-tournament packages and this finish was never among them.
G3SG1 | Stinger Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the skin — the entry-level way to run the wasp-yellow design for players who value the look over the condition. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Stinger still recognizable?
Yes. Despite heavy scuffing and dulled paint, the yellow body and gray accents keep the wasp look readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the design — on this bright base the damage shows, but the silhouette still lands.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Stinger look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.70 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies stop short of the most extreme wear a skin can show. The paint takes obvious damage, but it never reaches the fully destroyed end of the scale, so the color and shape stay identifiable.
Is Battle-Scarred the cheapest way to own the Stinger?
Yes. It's the lowest grade on the price ladder, sitting under Well-Worn as the budget entry into the Restricted finish. If you want the bold yellow G3SG1 in your loadout for as little as possible and don't mind the wear, this is the way in.
